I have no idea how to feel about this?
Just because we’re open to offers it doesn’t mean we take the first deal that a club puts on the table and nor does it mean we take unders for either pick 2 or our F1. Despite what a lot of posters think Todd, Brady & Will are quite good at what they do. It will need to be a substantial offer for either pick and if it’s not we simply walk away. We are clearly exploring all options for improving our list but that doesn’t mean we do it if it’s going to be to the detriment of the club.

Why try to trade our F1 into this year and then split pick 2 to get into next year? Even if first rumour isn’t true, why do we want out of this years draft? It’s a great one to be in, I don’t get it

I doubt this happens. We said we want to take picks in this draft as our last big haul before trading.

I think it’s aim to downgrade 2 for 2*6-14.

Separately, if f1 isn’t being used on Houston, what options do we have to bring that pick into this year.

We could conceivably walk away with

Shanahan
Tarau
Hannaford
Gerryn

I hope not too.

I would rather trade the F1 and pick 22 to see if we could get around pick 6, see if we can snag a top talent this year to go with pick 2. Especially this year where someone special could slip to 6.

I think our f1 will be attractive enough to not even need pick 22 as part of a trade

Hey, hey, hey I said I don’t know how to feel, not that it’s a bad idea.

I think it’s because the way in previous years we have come out and said we’re not trading away (unless it was to go up one for Reid).

Would the consensus be that the club doesn’t rate a particular person at pick two to the standard of George or Sheezel? Maybe even Ldu? Is there a likelihood of a will phill situation?

I mean Draper, fos, etc could all be anything in that mould like those guys.

Or is the draft that deep that prioritised KP’s and thought they can get a few of them?

But the club has constantly said they don’t think they need to do that because some good ones come out later in the draft or from other senior leagues.

It’s all going to be very confusing and interesting

It could be about plans for our F2. I believe you can’t trade F1 and F2 out so by trading an F1 back in we can maximise this year and still leverage F2.

Fact check please;)

Another great post My Left Foote No they are no where near as bad or silly as they are made out to be on here.

My wife is a cats supporter so I've been to a lot of cats games last 5 years and I used to think he was shithouse when watching on TV. At the ground though I got a different perspective Rohan does not stop running all game harassing opponents and closing down space, you could tell he runs himself to almost puking the campaigner, he does so much stuff off the ball that frees up his team mates. Is he the most talented? No, but he works his guts out. I could see the benefit for 1-2 years on **** all money to teach our young forwards this is how hard you need to work whether in vfl or afl.

Fastest runner in the AFL too, according to the GPS.

Yeah I dunno. I was reading this thread shaking my head, thinking “surely no one is gonna go after a 33 year old whose skull is being held together by two dozen staples”.

And yet I just discovered he posted this yesterday.
