If we don’t have at least 2 picks in the top 25 then I’ll class this period as a dismal failure.

Realistically we need 4 picks inside 40, and we should be finding ways to do that without sacrificing our F1.

I’m dreading tomorrow.
Lol we need established players.

I’m all for trying to split or move up to make sure we can get KP quality, but another 4x 17 year olds just stagnates us.

Richmond may be keen for a swap with 2. The would probably want 2 for 6 and 20.
6 and 14 they would do imo

And swans would take a future 3rd for Parker get some points for any academy players next year

That shows us coming to the party after pick 62 initial offer

It seems like we're trying but teams are really valuing those picks, too.

We had our chance to let Zurhaar go to Pies and we would have received pick 3. This would have given us a huge opportunity to attract a good player and stay in the draft. But no - we let that one slip because we need another half forward who goes at half rat power for 18 games a year.
No, we wouldn't have. We really wouldn't have

I'd tell 'em 6 and 10 and (like nostra) settle for 14.
6 is 3 players away from 2 ……if there is a bloke they desperately want to pair with pick 1, and I think that’s FOS with Lalor, this is their only alternative.
Put the squeeze on em for 10. Melbourne will play funny buggers with us at 5, threatening to take Tauru, so they will come for a swap of 5 and 6. I reckon, on the night, there will be heaps of pick threats and swaps.
We need 2 of Armstrong/Tauru/Travaglia/Trainor …….we can make this happen if patient I think.

Brings me back to the made-up scenario either last year or the year before in which we traded pick 4 for pick 5. Good times

I agree. I'd rather keep/slide pick 2, F1, 25 and ideally 44. Give up a 44/F3 at most for Parker. No Daniel trade.
But back of my mind Brady mentioned bringing the F1 forward for a player or picks and/or sliding from 2.
So I'm dreading and preparing myself for that eventuality right up until draft night.
I do think teams will more readily trade out a F1 going forward because those 2nd round picks will get pushed even further with F/S and academy bids, that if you want a prospect in the teens you're going to have to slide or trade futures.

I’m glad we didn’t get Houston. The thought of him sitting on the edge of the bed eating an apple as Clarko sang Good Vibrations will keep me awake tonight.

I hope Sheezel calls him out when he and the Warlord hold aloft the premiership cup.

Don’t remember that ? When did we have pick 4? Sheezel and George? Were the * trying to swap?
Don't recall. It was one of the last two years. Maybe we saw it as pick 4 because we knew Walter would go before our pick 3. Anyway, the idea was introduced and a whole lot of people got their trousers in a twist about the idea of it. Genuine anger and angst at a scenario that was very obviously entirely made-up.

We need to relax on here. It's not talented youngsters that we're short on
