Yeah, I really liked Clark in his draft year. Is strange that both he and JK were top 25 picks just two years ago and neither got time at their clubs.

I think we might be able to squeeze him if we do delist all of Harvey, Drury and Laz and I'm not sure I care to disapprove.
Unless we have an alternative specific DFA in mind, not that I can think of any I like or find suitable.

I've mentioned elsewhere previously, and not that it matters, he's mates with Corr and LMac and is just after a steady run of games. He felt like he'd have an ok game then get dropped. Frustrated at Melbourne.
Based on that he’d fit right in at North.

Good Grief. o_O

Giving up 25 and 44 is hardly "jeopardizing our draft hand". We have kept the prized pick 2 and gave away two ok picks that are easily replaceable. If we want to use our F2 we should be able to obtain a pick in the 20s from one of the teams with academy bids who find they don't want to lose the pick in matching a bid.
We could trade our future second for 23 or 24 from Richmond and even if we did that we could still trade our 2 to Richmond for 6 and 11. Say it was for 24, they'd still end up with 6 first round picks and 3 in the top 10!!! That's mental. Better than what we had last year.

Tho they might prefer to trade a FF for pick 23 tho because it gives them the first pick on the second night of the draft (24). They may get a (probably late) first in 2025 for that if someone wants it bad enough.

Because we are desperately short of KPFs and annoyingly there are none in the draft elite enough to justify taking pick 2.

I don't think this is true. We're just short of young KPF's (and maybe only one) and this can be dealt with trading back into the draft.

I doubt Richmond accepts that. Reckon our future 2nd is valued at about pick 30.

Our 'young' KPFs are Larkey and if forward Comben. I reckon we are two short.

Perhaps we could call east of Allansford the Nibbie Pies Line?. If only, to post a link to this great song, (although not the original version).
Took me till about the third time I read it to realise you lot were talking about nibble pies.

Right now its worth pick 20. This years is 25 with a whole bunch of pps and compo picks before it. At this stage no PPs for next year and because LDU is a chance to leave as a FA there will be no band 1 (by this years standards) compo picks given. It may end up around the same spot or a couple earlier than 23/24. The AFL appears to be making NA and F/S players worth their round value which means they won't push other picks back as far either.

But yeah hopefully pick 30. We are due some real improvement.

Problem is there are so many academy players in next years draft. Our F2 could easily blow out even if/when we finish bottom four.
Isn't that why GC have got three r1 picks for next year - cos Academy and F/S picks will require a bid to be matched with a pick from the round where the bid is made?

Lomas, Lomas, Lomas... That was linked above. You have to get up early to beat Giantroo me.

But you are correct. There's definitely a divide, as confirmed by Horace. The term was never used east of Allansford (except for a few of the folks who might have worked at the Kraft factory that used to be there).

Makes you wonder if the bullflogs might have used him to sweeten the handing over of 25 last week. Would a bonus player added to that deal have made it more palatable to the critics? Would North have accepted it?

Hypothetical of course, but it leaves me wondering.

We probably had the option of Konstanty and Clarke and went for the former
