Swans fan rings up Dwayne and complains they took Dyl Stephens and Matt Ling instead of both De Koning brothers lol.
Sounds like some other teams can butcher their 1st rounders as well as us.
Luckily for Sydney, North were able to help them secure a first round pick this year for butchering that pick.

No doubt we won't be afforded the same level of generosity for our butchered picks.

I'm curious. Why would Cripps provide the necessary "exceptional" rationale for North?

At least Parker actually has a history of actually getting his team somewhere worthwhile.
Fair point, I guess using that criteria then Bontempelli isn't good example either.

Harry shouldn't be offered it.... let him develop personally before burdening with captaincy. Jy and Lmac wouldn't take it well, but then again neither should be in our best 23 if we had a team challenging for finals

You people are mental thinking Jy doesn't belong in a finals team.

**** who cares lmao. They'll trade some potato to Gold Coast for one of their early 2nd round picks, Bailey Smith will get to Geelong for pick 20 something, and the only consequence for them will be sliding down the order by a handful of spots where they will inevitably still draft whoever they were targeting.

I disagree. What we need is stability right now just listen to how Harry for example talks about Jy. I never have agreed with the 2 captain idea for one minute So for me its Jy alone. Who do you think then.
But does Jy really understand what leadership of a finals quality team looks like? How does he know what the standard should be?

On his current form, I think his spot in a finals team would be shaky. We would need to have significant improvement in our list to be contesting for finals and unfortunately with Jy and his concussions, I don't see that much improvement in him, in fact he's probably regressed from where he was a few years ago. Realistically and sadly, he's probably already 1 or 2 concussions away from medical retirement.

I thought the same about Matty Larkin, Germo and Rossy Smith ...

he had 25 touches and kicked three goals in his last game and was the only player standing up. Meanwhile his mate latham Vandenmeer or whatever he's called played a finals game.

Neither of the co captains should be anywhere near the captaincy from next year.

With the performance of the side under their watch, it’s time to move on.

I recon it'll be Jy standalone, with Harry as VC. Larks, LMac, Chom and X in the extended leadership group.

FWIW not saying it's the right choice, just that's what will happen.

Vandermeer doesn't play mid though

Not on paper obviously but listening to how everybody on our team including our magoo team talk about him i have no doubt he would cope. He communication off field and on field is great and he never gives in or stops trying regardless You don't have to be the best player to be a good Captain. of the score or situation of the game.

When things aren’t going his way he starts doing undisciplined off the ball shit.

It’s time to move on.

Xerri/Sheezel.
