he shared the conviction that our MA Senator Warren should be HANGED, and then felt it necessary to point out that the mayor of Boston was a diminutive Chinese woman.

I made an excuse and left.

See, this is how I imagine some people get the idea that "everyone I talk to agrees with me about my negative views on [leftists | immigration | the elites]".

Don't know whether the result is in part due to blokes not wanting to transition into a woman if they vote for a woman; or whether it is as simple as America voting for electrocution instead of death by shark.

It'd be well worth it.

Aside from being burned out by inflation - everything else in this is just political window dressing.
They are obviously not disgusted by constant propaganda and election fraud. They lapped it up.

I love the current conservative talking points of;

"The democrats lost because they're out of touch with the working class! They don't understand that the electorate is sick of the swamp and corruption and being told what to do by the elites!"

...which is why they voted for a billionaire whose campaign was financed by the world's richest man, and who elected a candidate that has stacked his cabinet nominees with SIX billionaires...

Give me a break lol.

Much of it is worse than political window dressing. It is down right false. Would it be possible to conceive of a swampier Washington than the one Trump is assembling, full of people with sexual assault clouds in their past, grifters, people who want to gut the services that many Americans rely on in order to fund tax cuts for themselves so they can become even swampier. People who believe heartily in the rule of law except when it applies to them. People who want to cut down anti-trust and consumer protection legislation so they can accumulate more wealth for themselves. People who plan to use their early days in office to "look at the data" to validate positions they have taken based on their gut. People who want to sue anyone in the media who doesn't report glowingly on them. I could go on...

Yeah, from the person spamming "StaRmeR iz StAlIn" memes. :drunk:

The irony in the 'Starmer is Stalin' memes is the unpopular things he's doing are actually quite Torie-pilled.

"We're going to start means-testing a government benefit!"
"We're going to close a tax loop-hole for farmers!"

lololol
