Would be interested to know how often we’ve doubled up against bottom three sides in recent history. Can’t imagine it’s often.

Gather round won’t be against a SA team , instead will be most likely against the meekest Vic opponent average crowd wise that they can fixture us against (thinking North or WB). They’ll want to use us to sell out AO.

Mothers Day will probably be at home to Freo at Marvel (unless we double up WCE which I just can’t see, or GC which I can). although we do get Freo in Perth the week of Mothers’ Day. Just a happy coincidence though and not the point I was trying to make - which was us getting the dud tomeslot against whichever interstate side they want to hide.

Predictable shit really. The string of tough games to start (and possibly wreck) the season was also tiresome and predictable even if I really hoped it wouldn’t be replicated.

Based on 2024 I care - it cost us a legitimate crack at a premiership run? The Lions had the exact track we would’ve had to a flag.

We missed finals by percentage only & had a horror run with injuries after starting the year earlier than everyone else.

Not sure what last year has to do with our preparation this year.

So we finish 9th out of finals and get to play teams twice that finished 14th, 15th, 10th, 8th, 6th, 1st after the end of the year (3 side in the top 8)

Carlton finish 8th in the finals and get to play teams twice that finished 17th, 16th, 11th, 9th, 6th, 3rd after the end of the year (2 sides in the top 8).

But it is the AFL who are on par with FIFA as the most corrupt organisation in the world so no surprise its a farce.
