Friday nights are also a bit of a pain...but i like them.

If we had the same start time as the ES games it'd be no problem. 5:30pm to 6:30pm is a campaigner on a weeknight for most people.

It was a massive pain when i had to work down kwinana way. Had to leave work at like 4pm.

Im now in the city so its not a big deal now. Just catch a bus to the cop shop and then walk over.

I disagree. The Team that gets the least out of this is us, North get their Money, Fremantle get a extra home and we have to jump on bus and go to Bunbury on a Sunday in the middle of winter. I think we definitely come last.

Instead of jumping on a plane to Melbourne or Tassie

And we'll get the extra Optus game next year

Beat North away last year and if we had a couple less injures in that home game or ump didn’t give that iffy Yeo HTB free we would’ve won both games.

Roos could get a lot better but right now they would 100% be every teams 2nd pick to play twice. (Not including us)

We break even in this deal for next year imo. Reassess in 12 months time.

Can’t wait to see tomorrow which of Alice Springs, Launceston, Darwin or Manuka (or a combination of a couple) we’ll be sent to next season in addition to Bunbury.

AFL - “You got your extra WA game but you’ll still have to pull your weight by supporting another marginal Vic minnow or NRL state expansion club with another sold home game”.

Hands oval, 10 min walk from my place. Win for me.

Gets better. 9 Sunday night games in the first 15 rounds and Eagles and Freo are slotted into 5 of them.

Wtf is happening.

Thinking by night, they mean night on the East Coast. So a 3:20, 4:20 start time here is the evening there, particularly early on with Daylight Savings still in place.

So no change for us here, the usual late Sunday fare 😆

there were one or two 4.40pm starts this year (from memory)

Government media release says that the teams will alternate the Hands Oval anppearance each year.

Regardless, players getting on a bus for 90 minutes and spending the night in their own beds rather than getting on a plane, flying 4 hours and spending two nights in an East Coast hotel room is a big improvement.

Really hope we’ve asked to do similar where we go to Melbourne play on a Sunday then play the following Thursday/Friday on the same trip.
Don't be silly. The players can't be away from their families for that long. They'd rather make 4 trips instead of 2 and complain about too much travel
