Is it true that we’ve committed to putting Lucas on the senior list? My understanding was that we’d committed to taking them both, but nothing about which list they would be on.Carlton’s 2025 AFL list analysed: Trade targets, key players, predicted finish and more

It’s not the kind of thing Ralph would make up without being told. But also, he’s not the smartest, and could have made a mistake (like saying we traded Cottrell to the Eagles). Is it true that we’ve committed to putting Lucas on the senior list? We haven't technically committed to them. Just nominated them. We could still elect not to match a bid.Is it true that we’ve committed to putting Lucas on the senior list? My understanding was that we’d committed to taking them both, but nothing about which list they would be on.
I also don't know what this means. It’s not the kind of thing Ralph would make up without being told. But also, he’s not the smartest, and could have made a mistake (like saying we traded Cottrell to the Eagles).
It’s either:
1. We have committed to taking him in the ND, bid or not. Or
2. Ralph made a mistake, and if no bid comes we’ll prelist him as a rookie.
I’m inclined to go with 1.

Training for the chance to get an SSP rookie spot.I also don't know what this means.
"Ex-Hawk Denver Grainger-Barras will train with the Blues over summer but won’t be offered a rookie spot, while delisted defender Sam Durdin and VFL forward Liam McMahon will also train with the club for one of those two summer rookie spots."
If DGB won't be offered a rookie spot, then why is he training with us?
Simply, we are not taking him on spec., he needs to earn a spot in the SSP period, along with Sam Durdin potentially.I also don't know what this means.

Smacks of trying to drive the price up. Prob spoon-fed from an agent. Or maybe even a rival list manager.Jon Ralph examines how Carlton will sign up its out-of-contract stars in 2025, including Tom De Koning

One cannot help but to assume 'Editors' are a thing of the past in Journalism...he's got Owies and Cotters confused.
So you think Ralph is mistaken?Doubtful Lucas is bid on, so most likely be rookied, which is somewhat of a steal
It also says that we traded Matt Cottrell to West Coast and Ralphy expects Cottrell to kick 30 goals for the Eagles. Also says that Liam McMahon will have a train-on spot to try for SSP
