JSOS, too slow over the first 5m 1on1 as a KPD? If he is a 3rd tall type, it could work. Proof will be in the pudding

Don’t agree. Every player has strength and weaknesses.

The positive I see is he releases Weitering Haynes & McGovern depending on how we line up. Jack on many occasions will pick up the best tall forward and lock down on them.

Jack will never let us down and his teammates will trust him. I reckon his presence alone will help our defence

I think Kemp is quicker, better leap, better contested mark. Will provide him more scoring opportunties then Jack as a deep forward.

Still, think Kemps best position is as an attacking 3rd tall defender but Govs got that role and I reckon JSOS is better suited to the vacant 2nd KPD position with his discipline and ability to half a contest.

I wonder what it means for Moir if Kemp plays forward though. Moirs got more tricks and the ability to impact on the ground as well as the air. Im not sure you can play Charlie, Harry, Kemp, Moir all forward atm. Would lack pressure.
Kemp & Moir are surprisingly quick, ball hits the deck it won’t be an issue.
Kemp will provide a heap of pressure, Moir seems to have good awareness & having someone who can kick off both feet instinctively will cause havoc. Williams also has great goal sense and awareness, Mots comes on & our forward line could be lethal.

Too tall is only an issue when the players aren’t clean at ground level & slow - don’t see that being a problem for us

So you would sack a coach who has made finals?

Oh boy

The core group are in their prime now and should be able to understand what is required to win consistently. Finishing 7th implies an inability to do that. Also given it would be a repeat of what Voss has achieved with this group over the past 3 years it is very good evidence he can’t get them to be consistent. It’s time this club delivered real the time for accepting mediocrity is over.

Dont care where Jack plays - he was missed big time in 2024 as was Docherty.
1000% agree....he's in my best 22 any day. Loves the contest and rarely if ever gets beaten one on one.

I still like him as the 3rd forward, but can see why we'll trial him down back. He'll contest every scrap like a junkyard dawg.

I like the option now of mixing and matching our forward line. Sometimes tall, sometimes small and sometimes in between

Harry can go to ruck, Charlie up the ground as can Kemp. TDK forward, Cripps forward, Moir inside 50. Then the mix of Motlop Durdin Williams Fogarty Elijah Docherty playing forward to having minutes on ball. Then there is pick 3

Love this. I am a big believer in maximising your list and what you have first. You can find gold if you are prepared to look and try things.

Kemp fwd/mid, Ollie to HB are just two examples

I think Jack to defence will be seen as a brilliant move 👍
I think he should stay forward, and that Kemp should be training up as a mid that rests forward, we can even use Jack to spell him in midfield.

Jack's form as a forward finally hit its peak just before injury took him out of the 2023 season.

Jack as a defender has been done before as a reactionary move by Voss, and his pace was shown up. They'll keep putting him as a deep defender and he will look silly, especially coming back from an ACL.

I'm all for having him train there as a backup to give our list flexibility and keep Kemp in attacking roles, but Jack is in my best 22 as a forward.
