I'm told It was Phillips who initiated the call to sub him. He was cramping up badly. This information was via one of our assistant coaches.

I take your posts as gospel and this makes the posts since last night look a touch hyperbolic and hysterical.I'm told It was Phillips who initiated the call to sub him. He was cramping up badly. This information was via one of our assistant coaches.
And the “we were fatiguing” also took personal heat away from Will.Clarkson was defending the player publicly by not relaying that. Good on him.
Wondered if that might’ve been the case. Team thing to do, he's a fair way off the required fitness to tag in the big league. Great learning for him.I'm told It was Phillips who initiated the call to sub him. He was cramping up badly. This information was via one of our assistant coaches.
They looked that way regardless, but yeah what alot of carry on.I take your posts as gospel and this makes the posts since last night look a touch hyperbolic and hysterical.
Perfect.Football world - “wow what a stuff up taking Phillips over 1 goal a game McDonald”
Also football world - “how could you take Phillips off the ground, what a gun”
Didn’t realise that about time on ground, that’s big minutes for him, fair chance he was gassed if that’s the case. Will do him the world of good though going forward. He played more ToG than Teakle, Powell, Ford and Pink in a quarter less actual game time.
He wasn't injured. It was tactical. And it was a mistake.
They showed him on the bench and he appeared to be gesturing to his hamstrings. Not surprised by this at all.I'm told It was Phillips who initiated the call to sub him. He was cramping up badly. This information was via one of our assistant coaches.
It was half obvious to myself. There would have been a reason, whattaya know, fatigue and risk for injury.I’ve heard similar to those above.

Wardlaw was cooked by late in the game.It was also true. We aren't as fit as Collingwood. Wardlaw certainly fatiguing too
Especially as it became clear that Collingwood was employing tactics to break the tag in the third quarter such as pushing Daicos forward rather than rotating him off the ground so Will had to stay on the whole time, running himself ragged to 3/4 time.Wardlaw was cooked by late in the game.
here's the thing. Before he was subbed Will had played over 90% of game time. I thought it was the wrong decision at the time but on reflection it obviously wasn't.
