Nothing beats belting the national athem out before a sporting event - anyone that wants to change that is a bum!

The bloke singing the Pakistan national anthem was pretty awful though, not sure that would inspire them much. He sounded like someone singing karaoke after a skinful.

Can't be bothered reading the argument about Watson, but he is the biggest ******** in the Australian team. So cocky, hope he buggers his hammy again

Nothin wrong with Watto. He makes runs, runs are good, thus Watto is good. Takes the odd wicket. Simple as that imo.

Anyway, I'm excited to see Hughes play again. I hope he does well!

Do you have any sources for these claims? I would love to see them.

Respective Weather data tables from Wiki. Both are sourced from the BOM so it's not made up. You would hope.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sydney#Climate

I'm basing my claims on 'Avg. precipitation days' which show Sydney averages more precipitation days than Melbourne during the hotter seasons and Melbourne more precipitation days during the colder days.

I'm not sure how 'Precipitation mm (inches)' is measured (ie what years and so on) but I think the numbers support a "Sydney has longer rain when it happens and Melbourne has short storms" claim.

Shame Paki don't have Aamer otherwise Australia would have been in a bit of trouble batting first.

Yeah Aamer would have been a real handful on this pitch with his extra pace. Asif and Gul are only medium fast, Sami can be pretty sharp but also tends to be a bit of a pie chucker.

Spot on, YOTC...Punter might have had a bit more of a think

Hope you had a good New Year out in Perth....

What was Hughes thinking? I wonder what the reactions would of been if that was taken
