I can’t take credit for this either obviously but it’s literally been said in my circles since 2000-ish

I played cricket pre-2000-ish and if any of my teammates said "how good" I would've taken a swing at them Rodney Hogg style.

Where have I gushed over her?
She’s stunning
You go from 0-100 so fast if your opinion isn't fawned over.

She's horrible to listen to. I don't give a **** about your unbalanced opinion on anything to do with cricket since you are so influenced by your hatred of Australia.

I have no doubt you will want to reply as you are addicted to getting the last word though.

Magical bit of cricket tonight
Totally dig that.
Almost harsh evening conditions
Mitch threatened to end it tonight
Cummins well played.
They had a bite of the cherry and history, those shots.🤌🏻

Would be nervous if we have to chase something close to 200.
If this pair survives the opening hour tomorrow, good chance they can string a big partnership.
Hahaha! GOLD.
Reddy has been out twice on non-reviews in two innings and dropped 4 times. Very little chance he can stick it out.

Nah, i just like pointing out how stupid you sound.

He is an utter cretin. Don't waste your time, the ignore button is your friend.

coz they'll probably set us 150-200 and we look bad batting

They will probably score another 170-220 with 5 wickets in hand when they have for the most part looked just as shaky with the bat?

Pretty rubbish series. 2 tests in and both are decided by day 3.

Either the pitches have been curated too much towards the bowlers (fast bowlers) or the batsmen on both sides are just average outside of an innings here and there.

There’s no partnerships. No building your innings and no contest really between bat and ball.
It is a bit of a combination

The batting on both sides is definitely relatively weak

The pitches have definitely had some life in them

And the bowling attacks (especially Australia) Plus an ATG in Bumrah has made it even harder.

The unpredictability of Starc might lead to a higher average across a long career but it’s also been part of a strike rate that is among the best in modern cricket. The guy takes wickets at a rate that few bowlers can boast. Any team would pay that price
He has a low strike rate as he bowls fast, swings it a mile and has a lethal yorker. Not because of his unpredictability.

It’s why his stats in day night tests are so good. Once he gets it swinging he’s pretty much unplayable.

When he doesn’t have it swinging it’s when he can struggle. Mitch Johnson was much the same between when he was on and not.

If he had accuracy as well he’d be able to be even more dangerous while the ball is swinging as he wouldn’t waste many deliveries as well as being a constant threat while the ball isn’t swinging.

Of course, but you get what you pay for, as such.

If the pitch is flat and not seaming Boland probably isn’t going to offer anything either against a team who is willing to attack him.

There’s no doubt Starc can bowl some junk it’s undeniable but any time there’s any movement in the air with Starc you have a weapon that even if Hes getting towelled up can turn around and bowl unplayable ball and snuff out whatever’s going on.

Who'd be in our most hated opposition player XI?

1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8
9. Siraj
10. Andre Nel (capt)
11.

1. R. Burns: I’m sure he’s a lovely bloke but he is just painful to watch

2. D. Sibley: same as above, just yuck.

3. C. Pujara: would rather shove toothpicks under my toenails, then kick a wall than watch him bat

4. K. Pietersen: Exceptional cricketer, massive knobhead.

5. B. McCullum: hypocritical knob.

6. B. Stokes: ginger, hypocrite, knob.

7. J. Bairstow: ginger, moaner, knob.

8. Harbahjan: racist knob.

9. T. Curran (c): most punchable person I’ve ever seen. Looks like daddy took him to training in his Bentley on his way to shoot clay pigeons.

10. Siraj: no explanation required

11. Broad: no explanation required

Doesn't mean she's not terrible at it.

I remember her calling the Ashes and would drop Kohli into the conversation at every opportunity.

Your hatred of Australia and gushing over Isa mean you are neither balanced nor holding an opinion I give a shit about.

Australia win a few tests and he will disappear quickly saying 'Life got busy' again.

There’s no denying Starc is a better bowler than Boland. Because of his weapons.

I only used Starc as an example as he’s the one who first came to mind by being held back because of his innaccuracy.

Players are able to take more risks against Boland because he doesn’t have as many weapons that making hitting out against him as risky as others.

He’s still good enough with his accuracy to make them have to hit out.
