Black should be considered along with the very best and I barrack for Essendon ...There is no bias here !

yeah, black is back at his best form, has been almost every week....and while i'm at it, and this might seem team biased, but is there any midfielder who's managed to carry an under-performing team as brett kirk's done at sydney?....if it weren't for kirk, we'd probly be in the bottom 4, he's literally carried us across the line.....for what it's worth g ablett outstanding, neither judd nor kerr have been anywhere near their best with any consistency this year, and has anyone mentioned peter bell??? like kirk, he's been outstanding in a team that has been greatly disappointing....

Gary Ablett Jnr, Brent Harvey and Chris Judd.

Bartel isn't too far behind, but the other three are more damaging.
After Bartel there is a bit of a gap to the next best.

Judd averages the most possessions
Boomer averages the most goals
Ablett sits in between in both catergories.

All three are regularly getting hard tags and smashing them.

I agree, those 3 have been the standout midfielders of 2007, easily.

coz mcleod, admittedly playing off half back (i think), has been amazing this year
