So did any one hear Boomer defend himself and Rawlings on ABC Radio after the game?
Mark McClure who I usually can't stand says to Boomer you older blokes had a really bad day today and Boomer says "Oh but we have credits in the bank, its the younger guys who let us down." WTF
Boomer you are the F***en captain and have had the 2 worst games I have ever seen, you need to LEAD by example not pot others for their bad games to deflect from yourself and Brady.
Grow a couple Boomer and take the wrap for a couple of shocking misses for goal today (and yes you weren't alone) and learn to lead.
I am appalled that you would get on national radio and pot a couple of team mates after a poor showing by just about everyone in the team, that's not a leader that's a sooky la la who couldn't cop the criticism

I rekon boomers spot on and as captain he needs to put it out there . He played as well as he should have . Fact is he's the oldest player on the list and there needs to be hiers comming on that arent .
How long are we going to be saying these kids will be good one day.
locky has no excuses he needs to be one showing this club to the future as do wright ziebell grima anthony . We need the next generation to take the bull by the horns . Boomer is right he needs to put responsibility back onto these blokes and stop nursing them along . Yeah they have a way to go but they still need to be improving better than they are . They need to take accountability and responsibitiy .

For years when Rawlings gets it I yell out "Don't kick it", Now it's got to the stage where he can't even handball to a target...

I have never seen a bloke head stand within a 10m arc of the point post so often for a 15m chip across to then get it and butcher the next..

Anyone thinks that because B.Rawlings had 25 + touches then he has played well then clearly doesn't understand the game as 50% go straight to opposition..

Please stop asking for it Brady !!!!!

This entire thread is farcical.

If anyone honestly believes Rawlings is a major concern for our team then they have their heads stuck up their cooloo.
My good mate, Big DF once told me that if yah can't kick then you are for the tip. It is called Football after all.

But Brady does have qualities that enable him to play decent football at AFL standard.

His ability to shut out an opponent is outstanding. He also reads the play well and this is why he is capable of getting plenty of the ball.

As bad as he was on the weekend he is still in our best 22. He had an ordinary game but so did the majority of our guys.

I would like Brady to go back to what he does best and that is shutting out a dangerous opponents. Seeing Brady get cheap stats across half back when he ain't no architect with the ball should cease. :stern look

First time you've made sense since the corn on the **** incident.:thumbsu:

Rawlings was shithouse, but as pointed out the least of our worries.

Disposal errors can be made to look worse when your team mates don't work hard to create the space and run.

Plenty of times blokes looked up the field and no one was presenting or trying to work into space. The amount of times we handball to a bloke a metre away is incredible and I put it down to our players being to lazy to spread hard when we have the ball.

Re: 3. Brady Rawlings

Round 4 v Fremantle

8 disposals, 9 tackles

He changed tack completely this week and went back in to the midfield where he was given the task of shadowing the speedy and prodigiously talented Stephen Hill.

Hill managed to rack up 14 touches and Freo coach Harvey had obviously done some homework since the past meeting when Rawlings had given young Hill a shellacking, by attempted to expose Rawlings with Hills prodigious pace out in space, which resulted in some success.

Hill did manage to pick up a couple of goals, although one of them was when Brady was off the ground, and IMO, Brady finished the day having done a servicable job by keeping Hill 9 disposals under his 2011 average.

Brady's value to the side was also highlighted by the fact that Ballantyne, who would have otherwise been Bradys defensive opponent, did not end up having a suitable defensive match up and got off the hook kicking 4.5 and playing a crucial role in Fremantles win.

We really could have done with two Brady Rawlings's on sunday.

7/10

Great servant of the clubs but I dont care about how many possesions he gets, his disposal is killing us...Not saying he is alone either but we are obviously going to have to go further backwards before we go forwards and I want to see what some of the others can do

Gotta be kidding. Hansen & Thomas first off the rank.

He needs to be playing a purely shut down role, one of the best at stopping opposition guns. Can't be allowed to touch the footy ever - that simple 15m pass which he ****ed up was indicative of him in recent years.

Dont think I have ever been more frustrated with a North player like I was with Thomas today...Im sick of excuses for him...He MUST be dropped and made to earn his spot...then we can trully see if he has the hunger

BY my count gifted 2 goals to the tiges tonight. Sorry to say it but has to go - not much scope for pure shutdown players with poor disposal any more.

Personally (and forgetting about runs on the board) he's ahead of Hansen and Thomas for the arse in my book.

Its not just Rawlings who stinks. The defence as a whole have been rubbish.

How many easy goals have we handed to the opposition this year via stupid free kicks, poor kicking (including kick outs) and terrible skills.

Something is seriously wrong with the set-up or the balance of the team.

I totally agree!! Rawlings is a waste of space, he does nothing for us. Surely there is a player like McMillan or Speight that can actually win there own ball or even be able to run out again. Its about time they try something new cause at the moment we are going NO WHERE
