In yet another season that is threatening to be gloomy, this guy is a shining light. I can’t believe people are questioning aspects of his game or where he belongs already - he’s taking his first steps in the big league and while they are baby steps he just so clearly has ‘it’ (and a passion for the contest as well). If half the other plodders played with his intensity we’d be in a very different ladder position.

This guy is a big part of our future. Have to play him but look after him - keep him out of the ruck please, and isolate him one on one in the forward line. Not there yet, but will get there - future Gun.

As if it’s a player landing on it then that is just bad luck but if it’s the landing that did it then whilst also bad luck is partly choms body is fragile

Hard to tell exactly when the damage was done from the one angle, but he lands on one leg which then folds, possibly unnaturally, under him as the rest of his own weight lands on it bum to the ankle style. Video is near the bottom of page 162 if you want to see yourself.

His issue was that he was prone to bone breaks and fractures cos of some sort of chalky bones. Like maybe Vitamin D deficiency or something like that.

He is sposed to have got some sort of treatment for it thru 2021 and was sposed to be better now but maybe he isn't.

I’ve have my share of kicks in the guts and I just am so proud of Charlie, how he does it and comes back again and again is just so wonderful.

Just horrible news, our lack of depth up forward is fully exposed now. CCJ showed nothing but we have to keep playing him. Larkey needs support so I hope we throw either McKay or Logue forward which enables us to play a running defender like Bergman and Goater (or both as Hall is cooked).

Sounds like it might not be the season/career ending injury we initially thought, which is a silver lining.
Hopefully it’s not the last we see of big Charlie. He has been one of the few positives this season.
