I think he's someone that we want to play a role like Daniels.

Yes - he's listed as a midfielder/forward.

He averaged 20 disposals a game for Sandrighman so he's clearly not a stay at home small forward. I'd anticipate he'd be a chance at debuting in 2025 given our complete lack of a combination of speed., production & class at that half forward position.

An area of improvement is 'defensive acts' and has low tackle numbers so it will be interesting to see how that comes to fruition.

I think its notable that the clip earlier showed him moving the ball forward basically every single time, and hitting a target consistently. If he can impact defensively he could get games early as a clear McNiel upgrade.

I think he is what we wanted Charlie Clarke to be. He is very similar to Chook but a neater kick.

This kid speaks well. Confident, thoughtful, positive. I get an inkling as to why the scouts all rated him highly on personal qualities.

I haven’t seen enough video to know whether he has the goods but I like him already and will be following his progress closely in 2025.

The more I see and learn about Dolan the more pleased I am that we used a low pick on him as a specialist half forward. Desperately need the quality he projects to bring to that role.

A brief telling comment from Sam Power there, as Milesi was saying how Dolan has both speed and endurance:
"He's role focussed. He'll execute the running patterns that you want."

VDM should be feeling a bit nervous watching that footage.

Yeah saw that. Was more wondering did they have a camera set up when talking about all of the potential draftees. Obviously they would never show the rest of the tape. Would just be interesting to see.
