Club is super impressed with him and they expect him to play plenty of footy this year. He is the one who is giving Larkey the most grief during training, particular in the wrestling/contested situations. Kid is as strong as an ox and knows how to protect the ball drop. Helps that he is competitive as all **** as well.

Also, he has been putting in extra work in the gym with Kal Dawson, the two hoping to put on a couple of extra kg’s before the start of the season.

Nothing but good signs with this pick.

Good to hear, especially that he's got that drive. I still reckon there's a player in Dawson too.

Yep great news, positive about this one as well. To be fair though Larkey probably wouldn’t outmark Shane Clayton in a contested situation. Definitely not his strength as a forward.

Sorry, I have to ping you on this typo. Please be more careful going forward. Correction below:

Nothing but good signs with this pink.

So what was the knock on him when he didn't make it at the Swans?
He was behind Rampe, Aliir, Grundy and McCartin in the Swans key defender pecking order, and they’d also already given a long term contract to Melican?

If you dig up the old swans thread, most posters were disappointed he wasn’t given a shot in the seniors. There were a couple comments suggesting that his defensive skill set was stronger than Melican’s in every regard, albeit with only exposure in the reserves.
