As someone who shares a name with one of the most famous movie characters among people my age, I feel qualified to say this - the joke gets old very, very quickly.
Is your name Mary Poppins?

A surprisingly thin cohort of past players for what's a pretty premium guernsey number.

Tough day at the office, good to get his first AFL game for us under his belt he’s not going to be up against a transition juggernaut like GWS every week.
Wasn’t helped much by a midfield soundly beaten on transition.

Most likely gets replaced by Comben, but I wouldn’t mind giving him another go and punting Corr to the VFL.

he was straight up bad.

worse than mckay ball in hand and loses too many one-on-ones, mostly because his starting positioning is awful. biggie or chom in next week
Biggie is not a like-for-like replacement. We already have Dawson and Corr as pseudo-key defenders who are better off defending the third tall.

And Chom I feel just flat out isn't a natural defender. Would be staggered if Pink is left out off the back of that performance. He lost a couple of contests and the rest of the time fought valiantly given the red carpet we rolled out for the Giants to waltz along out of the centre (also, in one of the contests he 'lost,' he was busy asking the umpire why OOTF wasn't called, so that makes his game appear worse than he was)

Bigoa was injured in today's VFL practice match, for what it's worth.

People saying to drop Pink after his first ever AFL game, against the #1 forward line in the AFL, are exposing themselves as having NFI.

I would be surprised if the back line isn't given a block of games to see how they go.

Agreed.

I do wonder if Corr was so poor today because he's not 100% though.

  • Not 100%
  • he'd be playing a role in trying to tell players where to be in our raw as f*** backline
  • the opposition were very good.

All of the backline is going to take a shitload of time this year. They are undersized and green.

He lost a couple of contests? Try about 7 or 8

Wrong Toby, Pink is in our backline.

Agree we have to let him find his feet and adjust to the pace. He'll learn a lot from it.
I was a bit surprised with Corr being in as in the past he seems to look below the standard until he gets a solid block of games under his belt.
Chom im just not sure about, you'd think he should be able to play the CCJ role and far better but we dont want him to break either.
