Baptism of fire but didn't look unsuited to thr level.
Yep, Mick Martyn would have wore 5 goals yesterday with how little pressure was applied.

He had a right to be a little pissed off with how little support he got from Corr (most senior defender) and our midfield “structure”.

Jesse Hogan has always been hugely talented, is the form KPF of the comp and playing the best footy of his career. No shame in getting touched by him especially when its coming in like that.

Pink looks well suited to being a role player KPD, especially when Logue comes back.

couple of those passes came in perfectly as well,

being at the game yesterday and seeing the way the giants opened us up on the turnover, their forwards had so much space to work into no one could of stopped their forwards with no upfield pressure. when pressure was applied pink held his own. he will fill a role for the team. had some nervous moments as all debutants do.
keep him building, will make a pretty good second banana defender after Logue.

Second banana will be comben

This bloke is merely a placeholder who is a very limited player. Josh walker 2.0
Combin will be taking your old mate CCJ (big men take time / not even a placeholder! ) CHF possie.

Basing your whole Pink rating on a solid block of 1 games,

Oh and i see your other mate Bailey Scott who cant kick had 23 at 91 per cent efficiency!

Don’t worry guys. We have an embarrassment of riches in the key position defensive stocks. Biggie and Comben waiting in the wings. Young Dawson as well. Logue will be back before we know it. And Corr, gee what a general. :stern look

Pink is a gun. We all know that with his 0 AFL games before the weekend and his SANFL team of the year selection last year. It wasn’t his fault he had plenty of goals kicked on him against the Giants. :stern look

You see Brady Rawling has this all worked out. He is a List Management Maestro. The fact that the the last 4 years is the worst North Melbourne team most of us have experienced in our lifetimes ain’t his fault. Nothing to do with Brad. We can easily place blame on others for that. It’s all their fault. Not his or Clytons for that matter. But it ain’t Rawling. Remember that. And if you don’t remember just ask him. He’ll set you straight. :stern look

I was wondering why the Bailey Scott thread wasn’t front page, he might have lost his spot in Nostradamus's spleen.

Wasn't impressed overall, but Corr was worse 🤷‍♂️.

One game under yesterday's conditions isn't enough to tell us if he'll make it. so pat him on the back, tell him the ball won't be coming in as hot as that 80% of the time, and then put him in the squad again next week.

Bigoa was injured in today's VFL practice match, for what it's worth.

People saying to drop Pink after his first ever AFL game, against the #1 forward line in the AFL, are exposing themselves as having NFI.
Yep agree 100%. 1. Playing his 1st match at this level 2. Against the hottest side in the competition 3. On at times the Best form forward in the comp (Hogan). 4. An avalanche of inside 50’s. He will play next week to learn and improve more. I would drop Corr before him. He was very average.

It wasn’t just the avalanche of inside 50’s it was the quality of them.

- hard to defend inside 50’s

- we were a tall defender down

- Corr was crap but will get better over the coming weeks

Pink was well beaten but I’ll reserve judgement after a month of footy

Very tough initiation to be playing that role in a defence that hasn’t played together, your leader in Corr providing nothing and the ball coming in with no pressure.

I won’t put the rose coloured glasses on, because he made mistakes and there were times he needed to compete better. But I also won’t throw out the baby with bath water based on today.
