I guess the main thing to learn from this is that if you are given out from an edge there is not much chance of it being overturned - unless it clearly hits the pad and is miles away from the bat. But you essentially need no doubt at all, which is hard to achieve given usually they are close decisions.

If England had of done the right thing and invited Khawaja to keep batting after he was giving out for not hitting it, then Australia would have invited Pieterson back as well.
