I’ve seen nothing or no one in this pre season thus far match Robbie’s electrifying pace. On pace alone I would start him round 1 vs the agile small forward line of the dees.

I like fast players.

I suppose it allows Heeney to play midfield till we get Parker/Adams back. Also I think someone mentioned that Fox does a lot structurally in the forward line to take the workload off Hayward to keep him fresh.

I don't think Fox is as good a aerial threat or goalkicker. But he was always good at scambling to win ground ball contests, and linking up with other players with handballs as well as being the fittest at the club and a good tackler.

I was happy for him that he worked hard all game and kicked a goal. And his forward pressure created chances for other players. I feel Wicks is a more of a chaos pressure forward more capable of individual brilliance. But Fox will just play his role and keep grinding to the end.

Watching live you could appreciate his forward work. His pressure & work rate was great. It probably didn't show on tv nor on the stats. He nailed his fwd role, we would be silly to change it. If we play him with Wicks in our forward half then it will cause opposition defenders plenty of problems due to their defensive pressure.

Once Wicks came on we looked a lot more threatening. He and Fox were part of that but so was Hayward. All three delivered a lot of energy just when Melbourne were tiring.
I wonder how the three big amigos will go against the Pies.

If it's wet then I wouldn't play Amartey but if the weather is dry then I would try all 3 talls. I'm still a big believer in the talls if the conditions are suitable & it'll work a bit better on a bigger ground like the MCG.

He was also shutting down Lever.

Thought he had a great game. One of our top 10 imo.

How many times did the ball go into our forward 50 and it was just Fox having to battle against two or three Demons players and he'd somehow halve the contest or better nearly every time through sheer effort?

Just refuses to let himself stop being valuable as a player.

Soo many bloody times but I sort of get it since we were losing the clearance & contested possession battle at half time. He's the ultimate team player.
