Haven't seen this angle before - shows the distance and height difference between the stage and the spectators. I thought the stands were right up close.

Also surprised there wasn't a ramp or something to provide better egress off the stage. This shows why there was such a delay trying to get him down the stairs.

First of all one innocent person is dead and two others are fighting for their lives.

Other take outs;

1) the shooter is obviously no professional because a 10 y/O could have taken that shot at that range with that gun.
2) the perimeter protection of a static position by the secret service was incompetent or something else
3) Trumps immediate reaction in the moment is iconic
4) the media and Biden's rhetoric of "Trump is Hitler" made this basically inevitable
5) America "dodged a bullet" today because otherwise it could be civil war right now
6) the immediate reaction of many in this thread is despicable

Except that picture doing the rounds promoting the "Democrat donations thing", is of a guy with the same name. Based in an entirely different state, and not even the same age as the shooter.

Again... that doesn't mean anything. The person was clearly anti Trump. You don't shoot at a President unless you want to kill them.

Puts into perspective the vast difference in shooting skills Oswald used a WW1 Carcano rifle prone to jamming and other issues and was able to hit JFK twice in a moving vehicle.

This guy used a modified AR platform and missed a stationary target from 100yards away 4 times.

Well it's well know that Lee Harvey Oswald spent three years in the US Marine Corps.
He was well trained in the use of firearms.

The Carcano occasionally jammed the last bullet in the clip. Not an issue for Oswold.
Other issues which made it a failure in the war ( such as non standard bullet size ) were not an issue for Oswold.
His was fitted with a Japanese scope, which gave it high accuracy.
