Trump genuinely seems to have taken a different line on interventionist foriegn policy though, I support healthcare and respect Obama for trying to improve that, but he was more of the same or perhaps even worse than Bush in terms of foriegn policy, and I think this has been a major contributer to the cynicism about what the dnc might dish up especially if its democrat establishment figures like Clinton or Warren.

He has done nothing but push wallstreet deregulation, tax cuts for the uber wealthy whilst proposing cuts to welfare programs (that he promised he wouldn't) since becoming POTUS.
Can you tell me one place he has "brought peace"? His rhetoric of getting out of Syria turned out to be all lies (which I predicted). He has increased defence spending by huge amounts (which mostly goes into the pockets of defence contractors).
He obviously has his moronic base fooled but "the establishment" are still the ones calling the shots (and Trump is the useful idiot they are using as the distraction).

See, this is what I don't get. There's a perception amongst a great many people that Putin is controlling Trump and between them U.S standing in the world is going south. I'm completely on the fence as far as an actuality of that goes, but my socialist lefty knob is positively throbbing at the prospect of a loss of U.S hegemony across the globe.
Mueller finds nothing and the train keeps a'rollin. Mind you I don't want Russia or China to take the place of the U.S as world hegemon either, because that would be shit on quite a few fronts.
