Yes it’s highly hypocritical but considering Trump is using two terms to feather the nests of family I guess a person can be ‘the better man’ so far before deciding ‘**** it’.

The US is going to become a mess of a place and I don’t think it will recover.

Why does the pardon go back to 2014?

I don't know for sure but I assume it's probably a statute of limitations issue, given that it's ten years.

Yeah I wouldn't defend Biden on it exactly but pretty hard to muster up much care factor about this. Maintaining some kind of higher bar has got Democrats precisely squat.

I’m like you, I simply don’t care.

Democracy and rules don’t seem to matter over there anymore, if this was Trump it would be another day ending in y.

I don’t care for Joe or his brand of establishment politics (though he did push some decent domestic policy through), though he is as neocon as they come re foreign policy.

So really free Hunter and arrest Joe for war crimes would be what I’m for.

It is, but I don’t care. The bar is so low none of it is even relevant anymore.

I’d have Joe charged for war crimes and set Hunter free, win win.

There’s 89,000 people currently being held with drug charges, maybe he could’ve given a pardon to all of them.

It’s not the worst thing Biden’s done, of course, but it might be the most pathetic.

Sure, but the issue was that they were holding up the high bar as to why they shouldn’t stack the Supreme Court or use reconciliation to increase the minimum wage. Turns out they can subvert norms on illegally arming war criminals or the president pardoning his own son.

Most pathetic? Probably the most human.

It's wrong, but I can't say I wouldn't do the same thing. His son is a recovering drug addict, and who's to say the Kash Patel-led FBI wouldn't have gone after him about something else when a distraction becomes necessary?

After the country voted for Trump's Government, it's not like Biden has to think he's betraying democratic norms, the voters clearly don't care about democratic norms. Sacrificing his son for Democratic norms when he's funding and equipping genocide doesn't sound like a wise move for a person nearing meeting their maker.

It's wrong, but the voters have decided they don't care what's wrong or right, just what's in it for them.
