Sometimes have to wonder how on earth it will be possible for Biden to have a single 'good day' between now and November...

Michigan, home to more than 10 million people, is a key “swing state” – not guaranteed to vote Republican or Democrat – and it is often won by fine margins.

In 2016, former President Donald Trump beat his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton in the Midwestern state by fewer than 11,000 votes. So the estimated hundreds of thousands of Arab Americans in Michigan could sway the outcome of the election.

But as we head to the 2024 elections in November, which will likely be a rematch between Biden and Trump, Biden’s popularity among Arab Americans is tanking.

An Arab American Institute poll in October showed Arab American support for Biden plummeted to 17 percent after the war and some activists suspect that it may have sunken even further since then.

While Arab-American advocates stress their communities are not driven by a single issue, they say the scale of the carnage in Gaza and Biden’s uncompromising role in it makes it difficult – if not impossible – to support the 81-year-old president again.
“Arab Americans will not vote for Joe Biden, no matter what. That’s it. They’re done with Biden,” Sam Baydoun, a Wayne County commissioner who also declined to meet with Chavez Rodriguez, told Al Jazeera.

“That’s the bottom line. Joe Biden is not going to be able to regain the trust of the Arab-American community.”

It seems fairly even with Trump ahead by about 3% on average (Biden leads some polls)

I'm not sure its going to be an issue in 10 months time and doing the opposite means he loses the Jewish support. I'm sure they have done the maths

Not so sure about that, very popular D governor and have received the following from Biden's Infrastructure plan.
  • $7.3 billion to fix roads.
  • $563 million for bridge replacement or repairs.
  • $1 billion to improve public transportation.
  • $1.3 billion to improve water infrastructure.
  • $1.7 billion to expand high-speed internet access.
  • $110 million to boost the state's electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Awesome. I too always go to www.declassified.live when I want to know what's really going on.

Just need someone under 60 years old with more than 3 brain cells left to run, and they'll win.

With what's happening at the border in Texas currently that civil war maybe a bit closer than any one ever thought. Potentially a stunt to help Trump get over the line but even still incredibly concerning. The fact other states are sending "troops" to help Texas against the national guard must have at least some alarm bells ringing.
They aren't.

That's how Maga spun it to make it look like a "revolt".

All undeniably true, Maggie, but not sure how any of that changes or offsets losing the support of such a clearly crucial group of previously Democrat voters?

I honestly don't think the margin is that wide nor do I think votes will go to Trump.

More likely that many won't vote. Turnout was huge last time.

If you direct me to another news site which reports on the ACTUAL DEFENSE MOTION FILED, we could discuss on the basis of that article, if you prefer.

Which I strongly suspect you won't, because like so many Biden supporters, you apparently prefer playing the man and attacking the source, over engaging with the actual substance.

I'm yet to see a Biden supporter not lose their pants up a flag pole trying to argue on actual substance, maybe you'll surprise me and be the first?

Certainly seemed like a defining bloc of voters to me, at least for that state, perhaps elsewhere too.

You may well be right about not many of those votes flowing to Trump, on the other hand, people who usually vote tend to always vote for someone.

Perhaps if RFK does succeed in getting himself onto ballots nation-wide, he or another 3rd-party could end up the beneficiary, in which case I would argue that doesn't help Biden at all either.

It’s ok Biden and his campaign people think everyone will have forgotten about Gaza by November

I hate Biden’s handling of the Israel conflict, though if I was a US citizen id still be voting for him as the alternative of Trump getting in could see the end of democracy as we know it in America.

For all the dems faults, I’d still be pragmatic.
