I'm not sure if you will ever be allowed, TBH.

Not sure I understand why. It's simply a joke meme referencing that boxer at the Olympics who 'identified' as female who pummeled their unfortunate opponent. It doesn't condone violence against women in any way. If anything it does the opposite. It struck a chord with me because I hated the vision of that poor unfortunate opponent both during the fight and her despair afterwards.

Oh! Now you explain it it makes perfect sense.

No, they just couldn't fight the lies.

Trump no wars during his Presidency (ignoring Gaza and Ukraine aren't not Democrats fault) but plays well.
Deport millions using the military (his followers think illegal migrants have taken their jobs)
Believe they had more spending money during his last Presidency
Finally he really cared about them.
Oh and they didn't like her laugh.

The Dems did everything they could to lose. Installed a terrible candidate with zero standout strenghs, destroyed their economy with overspending military/ukraine and going into severe trade deficiet. In a tough spot to run a campaign in 3-4 months (their fault for covering Biden) but also ran on Hitler at the end, they ran out of ideas. Demonising Trump makes him stronger, not sure how they haven't figured this out yet.

They handed this election to Trump on a platter

There's a lot of reasons why the Democrats lost the election and it will take years to go over them all but a lot of people here are also just repeating right wing talking points without any supporting evidence. Like, they were only targeting the wealthy (her actual policies included an increase in the minimum wage, increase in Medicare and improving access to Obamacare... incremental change, but then again, this is America). Or the Democrats were too involved in culture wars (can anyone point to a policy on pronouns or when Harris even mentioned trans people). Pointing out Trump is misogynistic isn't identity politics (grab em by the pussy) likewise pointing out that he is racist (immigrants are eating the dogs), it's just facts.

My favourite is she was a terrible candidate. Why? Because she was. There's rarely a reason attached, most people on here don't know her policies, just they have been told she's a terrible candidate.

The campaign obviously didn't work, there's a greater study needed into the cult-like devotion from the 'family values' party to a convicted felon who has cheated on his wives and paid off a pr0n star, as well as the role of the media in this. But it'd be nice if people critiqued the Democrats on what they actually did and not what they have been told they did.

In simple terms - the election was people having a say on the economy for the past 4 years, compounded by Joe Biden quite selfishly not handing on when he should. She never had a chance with such a short runway. Before anyone arcs up about the economy, its not about where unemployment landed or where interest rates dropped, its the journey through inflationary times that is the issue.

Joe needs to take a lot of responsibility for this (but won't). In true Dem tradition, it will be complaining about their opponent and the voters as opposed to understanding why.

She was actually a pretty decent candidate. Not a cult figure, but decent. Problem was, she was a woman.

it's fair to critisise her campaign strategy. But you can't reasonably call her terrible.

The economy also isn't destroyed, and they sent mostly surplus obsolite military equipment to Ukrane, not money. So that's also just being a small brain parrot.

The US cant get out of this one by blaming the electoral college. They have got the leader they deserve.

The American public isn't educated enough to talk about the economy. The cost of living crisis hit globally, the US response to it was one of the better ones, job creation and infrastructure are positive aspects of the recovery, Trump's tariffs are likely going to exacerbate the issue. Yes, there is a two-speed economy in effect, but I don't think Biden can take the blame for this, the issue was with the campaign, they needed to highlight the positive elements of the economy and how new policies will help finish the job.

Where Biden can take the blame is not bowing out early enough. He should have called at the mid point that he was going to be a one-term president. This would have allowed either a proper primary or for Harris to step out of the lame duck VP role and actually take on some roles that would give her a public profile.

The us economy is actually in pretty good shape. Christian Latino men were always going to struggle to vote for Kamala. So were rural, white guys. Don’t know why so many white women like trump- that’s weird. Hypocritical religious people?

I didn't mean Biden or Harris should be responsible for the economic circumstances, more the public engage with only two real things in economic terms which is cost of living and employment. The first was far more pronounced which is the issue.

And yeah, for a country that has 10% sampled population that believe chocolate milk comes only from brown cows, there would be a low economic literacy around tariffs and the broader impact.
