I'm not facilitating a genocide but I should do better and Biden shouldn't be called out for it.

Trump's about to be in power again, improbably. The status quo hasn't worked, why are people vigorously sticking to it?
You and I didn't live through two World Wars. We were spared that.
But it is my belief that we actually got to a point in human advancement, probably the 60s, 70s, or 80s but we are now regressing.
I fear Medieval fiefdom, the Crusades and the Dark Ages here we come. All possible with technology.

Here's yet another example of the anti-Christian woke movement exposing our kids to grooming and paedophilia!!!
The use of humour and satire, live on the BBC and the ABC is the main reason we need to cut all funding for public broadcast!

What even is 'monty python'? Why are they put on our screens, into the minds of our children?

"Something completely different" This is clearly calling for the destruction of the nuclear family unit!

You found a photo of a drag queen playing a piano on the moors.
Quick, hide the children.

Trump can be launched into the sun too? I wouldn't have shed a tear if he'd not turned his head when he did.

Save for another weirdo and more relaxed Secret Service, Trump will only be stopped by a democratic process. It's worth discussing what that looks like.
I'm kind of sick of you 45° arguments. Where you never actually engage, but take it in some new direction, disparate to your original point.

Trump was almost not stopped by the democratic process.
Trump is the biggest reason for the current global instability.
Trump's son in law profiteering was one of the biggest reasons for the current excuse for Israel to engage in attempted genocide.

But your position is that the best thing for the world, is for Biden to be voted out. (Killed)
And the only possible outcome of Biden being voted out, is TRUMP... which is not just a continuation of what you claim to oppose, but an explosion of it.

But you don't seem to ever talk about that.
Which is infuriating in its obviousness.

When's the last time he did that?

Why would you think the 2nd term of Trump would be better??

At a pivotal time he claimed the Palestinians were committing acts of barbarism, justifying the barbarity that followed. It's hard to keep making up these stories when they're clearly being contained and murdered at enormous numbers, and it's a bizarre line to take. Lyndon Johnson wasn't still going on about the Gulf of Tonkin in 1966 either.

I've not said a second Trump term will be better, but there is a lot of hope that an agreement's going to be reached, for which Trump will receive credit and Biden will be condemned for dragging his feet for over a year. I'm sorry that's not what you want to hear, and as someone invested in the destruction of the far right too I don't love that Trump can get to claim credit for it. But thus it will be.

Ouuhh!! Teehee, maybe?

Biden, yes.
Trump?

The global instability and unrest from Trump's 1st administration... ehh.
Biden not doing enough during a time where even people like you are uneducated on what's actually happening? Kill Biden.

What have I missed? Educate me.

But Trump? Eh... As an afterthought..
But he's been elected.
And **** me if it isn't obvious just in terms of posts in thread posts, who you hate vs who you've no interest in discussing.

I only have a limited number of things to say about the right, who I wholesale reject. If I'm served an overcooked steak whose sauce is too much on the bitter end, I can voice those complaints in a fair amount of detail. If I'm served potato salad, I hate it and won't eat it, and therefore have less to say about it.

Either the issues are important to you, or the people are.
You only seem to discuss the people.

In fact, you're more active in the Biden thread, than the Israel threads.
So can you expand on what you find more important?
The Israel genocide in Gaza, or Biden?

I was early on one of the most frequent posters in the Gaza thread but I am often left quite depressed when entirely focusing on it, and have been moved to tears at times about it. I go to some of the weekly rallies, I give to fundraisers to assist. There's an extreme sadness there.

I also feel enormous anger at those who have supported it, and used their power to let this happen. I'm probably better at dealing with anger than sadness; I don't know, I don't see a therapist. But it's something I can more easily speak to, though I'm puzzled by those who seem to share my sadness but not my anger.

I agree with that - if the 20th century was the period of the greatest advancement in human history (labour rights, improving equality for women, LGBT people, the fall of colonialism, let alone advancements in health, technology etc), then the 21st century is looking like one of the great regressions. I have my own thoughts on all that (essentially the enormous ideological dispute between communism, fascism and liberal capitalism, with the third having an absolute victory over the other two, and now without the ideological alternative is succumbing to its own worst instincts. Many of these advancements were already going backwards before 2016, and I think that this far right rise is in part a reaction to that when there's no left alternative. But to return to 2016 is a return to the materical conditions that led to the rise of the far right, so that's the flaw in status quo-ism I was getting at).

At a pivotal time he claimed the Palestinians were committing acts of barbarism,
Hasn't Trump said that we should just wipe them off the map??

When you were pointing out that Johnson was in your top 5 of all time US presidents, I knew it was a call back to the Biden administration, right!!??

I've not said a second Trump term will be better, but
BUT

I'm going to stop here. Because I've realised that there is no point actually trying to engage with you on this issue.

You're MAGA, but you just don't realise it yet.

You've no idea that you've been tricked into supporting Trump in opposition to 'da deep state!!'.

In 4-5 years, maybe you'll shake the cobwebs out and not spread this support for a man existing for profit via hate.

That's really interesting.

Out of Biden and Trump, which do you think was a more positive direction or influence to these aspects you've stated?

If you're being kicked to death for being a homosexual, you can only say so much.

But if you're aware of the child labour that goes into the brand of shoe being used to kick you to death, well you can definitely expand on why they should use a more ethical brand of shoe.

As long as everyone knows that you reject the idea that they should kick you to death.

Maybe telling people for a decade that no, contrary to what they believe, they actually deep down want Trump to win isn't a good way to stop Trump from winning.

Thankfully I know what I believe in and will fight for to my dying day. Unfortunately most people lack ideological understanding so may be more susceptible.

I can only imagine the posts you've made in the Dutton thread, then?

Where they are using Israel as an excuse to oppose all immigration of brown people, into Australia?

The posts where you've been calling out Dutton for trying to block asylum from Gaza, due to brown people being terrorists?

Or, you haven't made a single post calling Dutton out?
You've just shed tears about Biden not being dead yet?
OK.

Now who's obsessed with the individuals and not the issues?

Biden, though they've both contributed more bad than good to the world, at least he's supported a union before and didn't actively install multiple anti-abortion and anti-LGBT Supreme Court Justices (aside his role in the Clarence Thomas confirmation). I don't think he's got much to write home about on the rest though.

Maybe telling people for a decade that no, contrary to what they believe
I have so much time for far right conspiracists, because I accept them for what they are.

I have no time for you, because you've made it clear that you're more than aware of what you support.

Yes... Media disinformation is bad.
Belief over facts, is bad and corrupting society.
It's why religion has been holding us back for our existence.

As a homosexual man, how the **** can you possibly argue that belief vs evidence is what counts???

Where are we now in America in 2025?
A President elect that wants a white America where coloured people are either forced to take low paying jobs or who are deported.
And then there's women's rights.
Well, according to Fox, women need to know their place.

I think that was called "1.5 hours, 3 times a week, in the music room". In the public school I went to as a child.

My parents didn't even know...

I went to school in the morning as a 'non-practicing' Christian, and without informing my parents I was surgically changed into a 'practicing' Christian...

Woke mind virus stuff. Parents should have a choice, right?
I stood up and told them this was crap and I'd rather go to the library thank you very much. Most of the grade 5 and 6 kids did the same.
