I've seen a lot of teams picked over the last week with only 3 frontline bowlers in it...When's the last time Australia have gone into a test match with that kind of line up?

It would in my opinion be crazy to go into the test with only 3 front line bowlers

The original alarm was on snooze, this is the backup alarm.
It’s pretty obvious what he’s trying to do, and it’s extremely immature and slightly narcissistic.
He trying too paint a picture in his own head that Neser should play, so then he can be off and running with the abuse of Australian cricket before the first ball is even bowled.

When Neser isn’t picket, it won’t be because of the reasons Danstar is going run with (selectors are donkeys, Cummins picks his mates etc etc etc), it’s going to simply be because there are better cricketers ahead of him.

It's not really wise to assume that this game is destined for a draw, or that the pitch will be a green, seaming paradise. There has been rain everyday in Manchester this past week, but plenty of sun on those days as well. Our selection must be based on turning up, looking at the wicket, and treating it on its merits. Knowing how Old Trafford is, if I had to pick a team it would be:

Marsh
Khawaja
Labuschagne
Smith
Head
Green
Carey+
Starc
Cummins*
Murphy
Hazlewood

If it's so green and obviously a result pitch then Neser comes in for Murphy, but I suspect it won't be.

Yeah and if it starts turning as it always has..big difference between part time spin and that
Head has the same test bowling average as Nathan Lyon.

To be fair most of these sides have had both Marsh and Green in them but I get your point. Both 3 frontline bowlers or no spinner have concerns for me as well.

Cummins, Starc, Hazlewood locked in. If we don't play Murphy then Green or Neser in. That leaves us with 5 pace bowlers with Head bowling a bit. Not ideal but Goat getting hurt wasn't in the plans and as I said the other day if Cummins barely bowls Murphy again if he is picked then we pretty much only have 3 frontline bowlers anyways.

Imagine living here.. it's the middle of summer FFS.
