But the guys who have watched 3 minutes of highlights say that he's soft.
Nothing I said was wrong if you read the eDPS review.
How effective he is for us will be how much he takes on defensively and if we can develop as a defensive team .
From all reports he is a good kid so he should improve but it is not hard wired in him.
Early on I think he will get games on a wing to take advantage of his run and spread .
Will say I never thought he was soft . He has just not been a physical player despite him still being a competitor.

I wasn't saying you. I was saying the guys who literally only watch the 3 minutes of highlights.

Our 2025 midfield is coming together nicely.

Hobbs and Caldwell the grunt.
Tsatas the speed and power.
Perkins the class.

Next year we grab the defensive blocker.
Pick 22, Henry Hustwaite hopefully ;)

Not really. Just linked the post into Eth as an ongoing discussion. Nothing in it at all from my side . If it reads otherwise it was not my intention.

Not my intention to say you where . Was simply continuing the discussion 😎

Has grown 2 cm since we drafted him . Start of the article on our website had him as 187 cm then Adrian ends with him at 188 cm . Before we picked he was 186 cm
. 😛

I'm assuming that's someone from this draft also born after early Sept 04? (I don't follow the AFL draft at all).

My comment was obviously focused more on winning a final before the next draft
Yeah, October 04... was just being a smart ass. Although the more of them we have on our list the more we are going to hear about it from opposition fans and commentators. And I don't expect that we will be knocking this monkey off our back in '23 either.

At this point I'll settle for winning one before my eldest becomes draft eligible (only 3 years to go...)

How is this kid getting 35 touches with no tank? Must be footballing ability hey.

We haven’t had an elite point of difference since.. Dylan Shiel ha ha.

The defending & tackling bit is concerning but I do wonder how much it might improve if they can get him actually fit.

I reckon if he had played the whole year he is in the conversation for pick 1. A lot of clubs passed on the poo so it’s hard to really be too critical. Very risky to let such a pure talent past.

Apparently Tsatas in his under 16’s just before covid hit, was actually a contested inside player. I think he had a collarbone injury, and was then forced into the wing where he developed an outside game. Apparently he’s lost a bit of confidence going hard at the football, in fear of his injury and hence the low tackle numbers, plus his foot injury this year.
From what’s being said by draft experts is, the general draft watcher hasn’t seen what the experts who have watched Tsatas in person Is capable of. Apparently he was the number 1 consensus pick last year and was better than Ashcroft and Wardlaw.
If you factor in Tsatas’s physique, he’s got really good scope to fill out his shoulders and obviously is still growing at 187cm.

No need to run both ways when you're getting first hands to the ball ;)
Also, you don't draft the grunt mid at pick 5.

The future midfield is looking alright.
One thing i like about this kid is his positioning and willingness to get on his bike and push us forward.
Dare i say it, we have the stringer with a tank mid we've dreamed about.

I'm chuffed, absolutely the pick I wanted all along. I genuinely feel he will be the best player of the draft. I've never felt that about a first rounder of ours. Cannot wait to see him dominate the league. So many haters already, even inside our own walls. Funny how McGrath was the one who called him haha, it's usually Hepp ;)
I guess we know who goes pick 1 in the keeper league then.
