Isaac Heeney

Isaac Heeney is a crowd favourite and one of the best young players in the competition. The QBE Sydney Swans Academy graduate won the 2018 AFL Mark of the Year award, was selected in the AFL Players’ Association’s 22Under22 team in two of his eligible four years and played his 100th senior game in 2019. Heeney can be used in the midfield, forward line – where he booted four goals in star teammate Lance Franklin’s absence in Round 20 last year – or as a loose man in defence.

Isaac Heeney
DOB: 05 May 1996
DEBUT: 2015
DRAFT: #18, 2014 National Draft
RECRUITED FROM: Cardiff (NSW)

Won't be able to tackle within the next 10 years. Enjoy this crud version of AFL because it ain't going to get any better.

Shame that he is ineligible for Charlie but hopefully a premiership medal will make it all better
It’s becoming like Touch Football every year

What an absolute pathetic case put together by the lawyer. From the get go. Butchered the tribunal hearing and now actually had a chance of reprieve and free hit at challenging the 'unusual circumstance' provision, which was by the way the point of he appeal, and then provide nothing on it but a weak as piss plea for the board to redileberate the incident based on common sense...which by the way isn't the point of an appeal.

Weak as piss and should never see the light of an AFL tribunal hearing ever again.

The sad thing is, based on what the chair has said that he is reading the rule any push off, fend off or don’t argue is a strike based on this rule. I guarantee you, not only will this not be the case but we will see multiple examples before the season is out of high contact not be considered intentional despite the ruling.
How many ‘strikes’ that Martin delivered head high went unpenalised?

I mean that Board Chair…what a ****.

Ok,
I'll be real, absolute shame that he doesn't have a shot at the brownlow this year. Real gut punch.

BUT, I like a few other really do think he needs a rest. Yes it's only been 5 weeks since the bye, but on the flip side, it's been a month of midfielders showing him A LOT of attention. He has the ability to rip finals apart, and I would prefer his body to be cherry ripe.

Toby Greene punches a Carlton player in the chest leaving them winded and is fined. Heeney with an innocuous swipe of the hand gets a 1 week suspension. AFL rule making 101.

Daicos did the same thing 3 weeks ago fine

Great news he gets his 1 week rest ! Praise Be. We are saved !

Let’s get him suspended every few weeks when he’s tired.

There is no silver lining. If there was ever any doubt what’s coming our way in September…..

We simply must blow teams away in the first quarter or the umpires will make sure of it 2016 style. Game plan needs to adjust.

How ****ed, but the AFL (and the media cheerleaders for Daicos, Bont & Cripps will be as happy as a Larry) well if anyone else does the same this weekend and beyond, the MRO & tribunal will be on notice and MUST rule with the same penalty. . But really Swans, get better legal counsel.
