*Awkward*
"Thankyou so much for that extra million and third party deals David, my family would've been out on the streets if not for you"

FOOTBALL Federation Australia chief executive offices David Gallop has slammed Brisbane Roar bosses for again failing to pay a host of club employees on time.Gallop was furious with Roar managing director Daniel Cobb and club owners the Bakrie Group for not meeting Monday’s monthly payday deadline, and hinted at action.“It’s unacceptable that the Brisbane Roar are once again having issues with the payment of monthly payroll,” Gallop said.“We have received firm undertakings from the owners and the current managing director about a recapitalisation of the club’s operations.“We expect these undertakings to be delivered, and so do the players, coaches, members, sponsors and all in the Roar family.

“We’ve seen late payments a number of times over the past year, but FFA can’t be expected to tolerate that as the normal state of affairs for Brisbane Roar.”Late payments were common place for several months last year, with FFA having previously put the Bakrie Group on notice. This latest missed deadline will heap further pressure on the besieged Cobb, whose Roar future is already clouded after falling out with coach John Aloisi and football director Craig Moore. On Monday night Cobb blamed “technical” problems for late payment of some wages.“I’m having to process them manually as we speak,” Cobb told The Courier-Mail.But that excuse won’t sit well with Gallop as the club moves from one crisis to the next under Cobb, who was hired by the Indonesia-based Bakrie Group in June.Cobb is on Tuesday supposed to sign off on Brisbane’s return to Ballymore for training and administration purposes on the proviso that he pays a season rental fee understood to be more than $300,000 to venue owners the Queensland Rugby Union.

Ballymore was the Roar’s training base from October 2008 until the end of the 2014-15 A-League season, with the club’s administrative operations also there for the majority of that time. However, the Roar’s failure to play overdue rent of $60,000 not only led to their departure from Ballymore, but also had the QRU taking legal action that almost led to the three-time A-League champions being wound up.The Roar moved to Griffith University for training last season but the inadequacy of the surface and the dressingrooms at the Nathan campus has coach Aloisi and his squad keen to move as soon as possible. The Roar have finally come to severance terms with the unwanted Jerome Polenz, with the German fullback having parted ways with the club despite having a year on his contract to run.His departure means the Roar now have three visa player spots available in their squad.

FFA need to take some of the blame here they had a chance to step in not long ago but where gutless and has let the situation get way out of hand.

There's talk JMac wants out due to their incompetence

Rojas a free agent again after not really shining in Europe apart from one half decent season in Switzerland. Can Victory fit him in the cap or could go elsewhere if he decided to come back.

Would suit their style of play too but do they need another winger?
Probably an identical player to Pablo really. Can play out wide if required, bearing in mind we also need a Mauk replacement.

Never really got a look in over there. Part of me wants to see him at the Nix, but would have him at AU in a heartbeat

I reckon he'd struggle in the A-League now. The league is a long way advanced from when he left it and his overseas form has been nothing short of dreadful. Worth a punt for sure, but won't be anything like the player we remembered.

lol according to the official FFA criteria that Davutovic read out during the World of Football show on SEN for a player to be accepted within the guest Marquee they need to be able to boost the TV rating, speak fluent English and have a significant amount of social media followers and presence. lol this truly is a joke. Such short minded, short sighted thinkers at FFA HQ

Have a listen

I have no real issue with that except for how do they really know that they'll boost TV ratings and who is making that call? As for social media presence, wtf?

Timmy has a huge social media profile but who else ?? Maybe thats why Chelo has been more active on twitter in the last couple of years.
