Saad is going to the PSD just like Martin. Dodoro knocked back 8 for Saad and 48. That’s way overs. I’m not even doing it for 8 and 28 coming back. It needs to be 18-20 coming back. Dodoro is done. He also has knocked back his future second for Caldwell and 28 for Fantasia. OMG.

Is this all media spin? On what planet is Saad worth pick 8? Surely Carlton aren't this dumb?
They could probably get him for less if they really played hardball, especially considering Saad is OOC. I agree on the surface it is "overs". However, Carlton don't need another top 10 pick, they need quality players in their prime. Adding Williams and Saad will be huge for the Blues. When quality players want to join you I think it is best just to get the deal done. People were saying we paid overs by trading pick 12 for Charlie Cameron a few years back but David Noble has a philosophy of just getting deals done when it comes to bringing in quality players the club has identified as likely to improve the team without worrying too much about "winning the trade". Many people were saying the Lions paid way overs at the time for CC but we are laughing now.

Saad isn’t worth 8. That’s just the pick we have and the pick the Bombers media brigade have ran with.

I’d hope we do our due diligence to find a pick in the mid-late teens. Looking like a hard task now.
Hit the nail on the head. Can only deal with what you got. Dodoro asked for players Carlton understandably don't want to trade those players, the next thing that you have is pick 8.

I’d be calling Saad and apologising. I’m sorry. Dodoro is a dick and He won’t be reasonable either you go to the draft and we take you with a pick down grade once 8 comes along.

At what point do you say a player isn't worth 'that' much?

Saad is a handy player. He isn't worth anything like pick 8 or anything in the top 15. He isn't that good.

It depends on the individual circumstances. I think he is worth that to Carlton who are already over stocked with young players drafted in the top 20 and are desperate for some AA calibre players in their prime to help them ascend up the ladder.
