I'd do this just so Essendon can stop crying over pick 7,take 17 or we draft him using it either way we don't care we get Saad for pick 17.We'll give you 16 and 17 for Pick 7. Enjoy !
Would rather do Saad and 3 third round picks for Pick 7, values Saad at a late second rounder so better deal for the Blues. Everyone will be happy with that too you'd think.27 + future 2nd lands his value at pick 11, better deal for the bombers and will be done. Everyone will be happy.
GREAT post!!This reminds me of the Stringer trade really. Doggies wanted pick 11 (I think) because that's what the Bombers had. They kept refusing and Dodoro traded 11 to GWS for Smith with 25 coming back, Doggies end up with 25 and something else in the 20s. My opinion is we want 7 because that's what you have. If you trade the 7 for 2 later firsts we'll be after one of them instead. If you can't trade it for 2 later firsts I'd assume you would be giving 7 with something decent coming back from us. Can't see a trade not happening and it surely comes early given everything else the Bombers are trying to do.
There in lies the irrelevance of the point system. Adding an irrelevant pick like 45 that won't even be used is basically just asking for pick 7 in a straight swap.Would rather do Saad and 3 third round picks for Pick 7, values Saad at a late second rounder so better deal for the Blues. We can trade in Caldwell without the Saad deal going ahead at all, so don't worry about us for that. The Dunkley deal will likely not get done unless we get something substantial from the Saad trade so trading him early for unders for the sake of trading him also doesn't help us.There in lies the irrelevance of the point system. Unfortunately for you guys you are sh*t out of luck, you need something for the players you are losing before you can trade in the likes of Caldwell and Dunkley.
NoClearly said a 'net result'. If you guys said last year that the following season you could land Williams and Saad for pick 7, would you have taken it..?
Stop pretending your club holds the balance of power on this trade. We can trade in Caldwell without the Saad deal going ahead at all, so don't worry about us for that. It seems Carlton fans are obsessed with staying in the first round and Essendon will have an end first round pick coming back for Joe. Saad + that pick for 7 and a later pick may just be the best deal you get him for. Hopefully Carlton take the early trade offered to them before the JoeD pick goes to GWS for Caldwell.
I posted a fair trade and didn't say anything about holding the power so there's no need to be salty about what I've writtenStop pretending your club holds the balance of power on this trade.
He wants out, in fact, he’s gawwwwwn, you don’t hold all the cards, you’re not the dealer.
No friend, it’s the obnoxious tone of the “the best deal you can get for him...” I take umbrage with.I posted a fair trade and didn't say anything about holding the power so there's no need to be salty about what I've written
There's no need to be upset dudeNo friend, it’s the obnoxious tone of the “the best deal you can get for him...” I take umbrage with.
I hope we walk him to the draft, just to wipe the smirks off of all of your faces.
Bomber supporters have very short memories, poncing around as though the league gives a toss about you or other supporters.
Think Saad and Co. gave the first 'thump' by automatically referring to going to the draft before any discussions between the clubs was had.. just for the recordAdam has walked and given a thump on the way out , an OOC player next week too.
Someone please enlighten me way how Saad‘s value is at p7 a former p35 in 2018 now 3 years older and with a few issues apparently , not a very strong position for the EFC.
Pretty sure Essendon can't trade their 1st round pick without getting another 1st round pick first, you need at least 1 of Saad or daniher to net you that or no you actually can't get Caldwell. We can trade in Caldwell without the Saad deal going ahead at all, so don't worry about us for that. We should have a bet that we will end up with a pick closer to 7 than Carlton come draft night?
So when Dodoro gets pick 7 for Saad can we all celebrate just how amazing he is? Or will we just revert to "Hard to deal with"?
If p7 is eventually involved there will be Saad and more , coming back to the Baggers without doubt. So when Dodoro gets pick 7 for Saad can we all celebrate just how amazing he is? Or will we just revert to "Hard to deal with"?
I have said twice already in this thread that I will take any bet, from anyone that Saad does not get traded for Pick 7 outright.
Nobody has taken me up on it...

Dodoro is no big deal, just as much a marionette to circumstance as any, will succumb as any other recruiter would, when there’s little other choice, alla Jack Martinin 2019 all over againPLAYERCARDSTART19Jack Martin
