So this Trade will go down to last Hour?

Realistically we should give up 20 or 21 but we want to get the Yarran trade done. #12 and #31 for Yarran and #20 might see us trade #12 and #31 for Tomlinson and the Plowman package players. GWS doesn't know what they are getting from us.

GWS have to keep their #27 until they have something else from us as they want the points. They may just take #20 and #21 from us but it is all dependent on what Richmond do.

I'm really not sure what Tigers are doing there because #31 won't get the deal done. Maybe it is now Carlton staring them down for #12 alone or trying to use a future 2nd rounder back to the Tigers.

However Pies can take a future second rounder from GWS to get this done now.

Blues and GWS reportedly on the verge for deal which sees four GWS kids to Carlton for picks 20 and 21.

That would almost certainly and immediately lead into the Treloar deal.

20 & 21 wow i thought it would only be the 1 pick

Pretty sure both those theories are wrong.

It looks as though both teams have been waiting for other trades to drop to get currency for a trade that both clubs deem fair.

Honestly, the whole "You are trying to short change us!", "No you are being hard to deal with!" bit is incredibly childish. Both clubs have a reasonable trade history. There's no reason to think that either club is out to screw the other (Matthews drama aside).

People on here tend to be obsessed with 'bending clubs over a barrel', making things as hard as possible and basically can't see past the current year and trade period. All well and good for a one-off sort of deal but all clubs need to trade with each other next year, and the year after that, and the year after that, and the year after that, and the year after that.... There's really no value in trying to screw over other clubs because you'll get yours back one day.

There's a club learning that just at the minute I think - well at least I HOPE they are learning it

Agreed. I'm pretty happy with the way West Coast go about their business. They go to trade week with their targets and look to get fair trades done with minimal fuss.

You're usually trading in someone to fit a need, so they're usually worth more to the team than the market value anyway.

Hopefully with Dixon done and Richmond's involvement, Yarran can now get done, which will mean Carlton-GWS 4 can get done, which means Treloar can get done. And with that, maybe even Aish can happen.

Don't Hold your Breath over it

Sometimes you just shake your head and wonder at how long the deals take... and how tiny the difference is in the final trade and what was proposed days before.

How much more wrangling is even possible with Treloar?

Trade Period is Too Long

The longer this delay goes on, the more I would rather just letting him go to the ND and picking him up with pick 7, as I think he will get through to 7.
That way we also get to keep next years first pick.
Otherwise stop f******* around and do the deal.

I hope that the deal gets done tomorrow as I think the deal proposed is very fair for both Collingwood and GWS.

I must say you have been very fair minded throughout and clearly a very passionate Magpies supporter.

I hope he turns out to be a jet for you, I've no doubt he will :)
