Laird had no pressure on his touches because no one applied any pressure to him. He did as he pleased and was a reason why they destroyed us on the rebound so badly.

Except his defending was ok. It was when he had the ball, open and in plenty of space without any pressure, that he continued to **** it up.
Add Parfitt to that. Kolo not much better.
Im calling it. Kelly will be a top 10 player in the comp. If we let him go for anything less then a top 8 pick this year then we are fools.
I'd rather talk about his goal from outside the 50

- Dangerfield was very good tonight.
- Hawkins is our most important player. Brilliant again, our best.
- Joel well held.
- just cannot find a mix that can consistently give us forward pressure.
- Narkle really has some special traits and one to watch for the future.
- Guthrie bad tonight. Just some truly shocking turnovers.
- Bews bitched Betts once more.
End of the day, merely making up the numbers this season.
- Dangerfield was very good tonight.

You would be hoping that Brian Cook blasts the shit out of the AFL for the fixture. Would Eddie stand for the Pies traveling interstate two weeks running?
Not that it really matters, Geelong are only a mid table team anyway, but they sure do need all the help they can get.

Not to disapointed with the game. That was finals quality. Adelaide wound back the clock

Thought Gibbs was very influential. Duncan was a fair bit off, or just was poor defensively. I don't like having Duncan in a half back or half forward role; he mostly only runs one way.
This is the issue with all clubs, your bottom 4-6 will define whether you win or lose. Tonight we had 4 absolute mares. Though I thought Guthrie got going in the last with plenty of run.
Stanley. Great game. Though annoying that in the last when we needed to contest the ruck, we had an onballer taking it. Either poor communication from the coaches, or there wasn't any on the ground.
Blitz was superb again. Thought he held up the defence, only one bad miss kick. Didn't cost anything though.
Bews had his moments, but kept Eddie goaless I thought.

The commentators finally picked up on it tonight, but our ball movement from midfield to forward is woeful

We just haven't nailed that second tall to support Hawkins! Parsons, Buzza, Black are for the tip! Crameri is past it (what the bloody hell's happen to him anyway) Taylor doesn't belong their.
That bulldogs match is gonna come back and bite, few games at home still to come which we should win but it's gonna be touch and go making finals now. Would be nice to make it but meh.. we ain't gonna be a threat if we do, We are just not good enough just an OK team!

I agree on scooter. Commentators talked him up but he looked very average at times.

He was very good but Danger was better.
33 and 3 to go with 10 tackles and 8 clearances vs 28/1 and 3 tackles.
Stanley can finish off our top 3.
