McKernan ruck with Stinger/Hartley relieving? Crikey. Hooker literally could barely stand straight last week let alone run and jump in the last qtr.

Well if there's no Zac Clarke and no Hurley and no Daniher, Hooker and McKernan can't go in ruck, so who does our ruckwork? Play four midfielders instead?

McKernan will ruck mostly I think. Hooker and Hartley will chop him out for a few mins here and there. Ambrose, Hooker, Hartley rotating back, Brown, Stringer and maybe Hooker rotating forward. It won’t be settled nor probably too pretty.

Against Port last year Stringer went into ruck when Lbeger went down from memory. I can’t recall if Hooker was playing. Pretty sure McKernan didn’t play that game.

edit leunberger not TBell

Hooker played. He was smiling behind Francis when he took that mark on Ryder.

Pretty sure McKernan was injured though and didn’t play.

Can Francis ruck?

Also I read somewhere that at training Hooker couldn’t bend forward
If Hooker couldn’t bend, I’m going to say he will definitely be our deep forward target.

We still have talent out there but damn structurally that's not good and ruck is going to be a massive weakness to overcome. I'm also not that trusting that Hooker is actually fit. I also didn't trust that Fantasia was fit either and not surprised to see him go out.

I'm pleased to see Snelling debut. Glad to get Ambrose and Heppell back. I'm curious to see whether Hartley has improved as a player since he's been seen at AFL level. Here's a golden chance for him.

Either way I reckon this match will be bloody tough.

I get the feeling Adelaide are really focused more then previous weeks. It’s a real 8 point game. Rushing Lynch back too. That smell of desperation seems to be there. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Hooker as a late withdrawal and Zerk-Thatcher in. Interesting Laverde is an emergency. I’m assuming he travelled over? Just shows three weeks of tough hard fought footy does pay a toll. I reckon Saad is pretty sore too. Still I think it will be a tight and interesting game..again.
