People keep doing "the wrong reasons" because we're soft as buggery on them. The powers that be want to go down the education path. Sure, do that, but also let it be known they'll never attend another match. Sometimes deterrent is better education than the softly softly approach.

Yeah I get that, ill leave how to handle those issues up to smarter people than I though. There will always exist ignorant people who will hurt others. Continue to shame them publicly, it is a generational thing and it will change.

All I care about though is focusing on the football. Another chance for a big crowd to show that the majority of them are there for a good time and to see a good show of Footy. Im hoping we and the Adelaide boys can give us all that.

Out: Langford, Hocking and Brown

In: Francis, Bird and Stewart

*Hooker slides back and Stewart/Francis go forward.

Walker: Hurley
Lynch: Ambrose
Otten: Hooker

Daniher forward with Stewart who takes rucking duties when needed.

*Yes I know this will never happen

Walker also has a big engine and gets lots of kicks on wing. He did this against Port. Who runs with him?

I agree with your Ambrose call. Hurley can pick up Lynch surely.

A few on the Crows board really underrate our players.

I know the Adelaide coaching staff wouldn't so the same but I wouldn't be surprised at some complacency from them. Prime target for us to win in an upset.

Understandable though. They are among the premiership favourites and it appears as though we haven't beaten a good side since 2015. That will only change by performing well against the best teams and that process starts this week.

It won't be raining according to the forecast so I think we'll always be a chance in the dry. Selection is extremely important now that JJ and McGov are not playing.

If we start off well, then we can run with them I think. Our 4th quarters (except for last week) have been pretty good, so we need to make sure that we are close in the last. Adelaide have started poorly in all of their games so we need to look at jumping them. Their 3rd quarters have been the finishing blow in pretty much all games this year so we need to watch out for mental lapses. If they get on a run in any part of the game, we'll lose. One thing I liked about the game against Carlton is that we responded immediately after they scored a goal multiple times in the game. That's what we need to look for on Saturday.

We'll be up against it, but there have been bigger upsets.

Our smalls have to be at their best as Adelaide struggled with Hawthorn's smalls. Breust kicked 4 and Puopolo kicked 3. That'll be an advantage to us. Betts will kill us, but if our smalls combine like they did vs Hawthorn and Brisbane, then that'll offset the advantage that they have with Betts.

Just like I said before the Hawthorn game, we will not restrict their scoring solely due to our defence. We'd expect them to kick 90+. They have the most potent forwardline in the game and don't need to dominate the inside 50s stat to kick a high score. Though we don't need to dominate the inside 50s to kick a high score ourselves, Adelaide's forward line is a different beast. Our midfield performance will be very crucial. We can't be conceding 60-37 inside 50s like we did to Carlton or we'll get smashed. Have to win or keep the inside 50s count close to be a chance.

Who do we put on Betts? Can't help but think he'd give Bags a bath.

I would legitimately consider dropping Baguley this week.

Not far behind Langford in the 'struggling to hold his spot' stakes.

McGrath

Yeah, Eddie will probably still tear it up but I think young Pidge will give it more of an effort than Baggers would.

Crows haven't achieved anything yet and thier fans are cocky. I hope like hell we beat them.

Would like to see Dea come in for Brown and Green in for Hocking.
2-2 going into ANZAC day. Will take anything under 20 points. Just think they have too much depth in their forward line, their midfield is very good too.

McGrath should get 1st dibs I reckon.

Agreed.

Has already shown he's not likely to shy away from the occasion. I'd let him have a go at Betts. He'll almost certainly be beaten, but I reckon he'll be better for it.

I was a bit bummed you guys lost to Carlton as it would have been consecutive 1st v 2nd games for the Crows had you won

sure early season that doesn't mean much, but I don't think those scenarios happen very often
Don't worry. We can have our 1 vs 2 game at Etihad later in round 21 :p

Have people forgotten Baguely blanketing Cyril in round 1? I'm not his biggest fan, but 1 poor game in the pouring wet last week doesnt mean he should be dropped yet. We need a total lock-down defender playing on betts, and Andy would be best suited to a player he can run off and provide drive for the team

Bags shouldn't be dropped.

He has been fine during the season proper even though it looked like he forgot how to play during the JLT. His game against Carlton was average but his game against Hawthorn was superior.

His game against Carlton was average

He was decidedly less than average.

FWIW, I'd keep him in this week - but I reckon he's a poor game away from the VFL.

Are they underrating any players in Particular? Love to see a couple of them torch the crows. Always makes a win that much sweeter.

(Not expecting a win but I've seen stranger things)

I am cutting him a bit of slack due to the conditions. He did some good things and some bad things.

Zach Merrett gets touches but doesn't do anything with them apparently.
