Adelaide's decline

Anyone read the Age article from Maclure? If true every person in a position of decision making
for that camp including any player leaders need to be booted. Theres grounds those that facilitated shouldnt work in the AFL again. That shit is messed up.

the problem is the toxic elements around the club

the club has an issue with indigenous relations and I dare say the finger could be pointed squarely at the bong smoking elements who strut around like they own the club

fingers crossed they turn it around, as they are too proud and great club to be down for too long

Quite the read.

Who knew that some clown with an MBA and a high fee consultancy might be an utter charlatan!

How funny was that crows burner account with nothing better to do on a Saturday night than send a stream of PMs to Port posters?
Yeah was hilarious getting woken by the fwit

Poo pictures and all. What a loser.

It's telling that a Melbourne paper has cracked this finally, you'd think the well connected Adelaide reporters would have got there first.

The way media works in Adelaide is: if the Crows don't like it, they will refuse to give journos content. Its telling that the moment the spotlight is put on the Crows some of their fans have been sooking relentlessly about everyone picking on them.

Read the article, if that was Port I would stop supporting them unless every single head rolled that even had a remote part in it. Absolutely ****ing disgusting.

If this is true that is insane. So basically the club used personal information about the players, personal information told in confidence against them in this camp. If that is the case I doubt the players will ever trust Adelaide with personal information again. Good luck Adelaide convincing a player who is struggling in their personal life to admit those problems to you now.

You know how it works here. The only person that may have had the balls to write that would have been Rucci, and it would have been dismissed by all in sundry because apparently Rucci is a biased Port supporting mole hell bent on the destruction of the AFC.

The Ambassadors would go into over drive in defence of the AFC and accuse the journo of lying and effectively try to destroy them.

Adelaide have gone from the best team in the league to the worst in a little over 2 years. It is fascinating to pick apart what went wrong because the club itself doesn't seem to have much idea and the men at the top are still there.

Good luck to Adelaide in trying to lure any decent standard of player or staff when those responsible for passing on extremely sensitive information re the players to the shonks running that camp still sit in their chairs.
The very same club “leaders” that commissioned an inquiry into the football department as opposed to a club wide investigation ... conveniently enough ...
Crows supporters with their heads in the sand want to tell you a rebuild is under way.
Nothing could be further from the truth whilst the incumbent “leadership” remain ...

I really do feel like this is similar to the Bombers supplements saga in 2012. The Crows can kid themselves and drag it out as long as they like. They will not properly move on until EVERYONE who had anything to do with this heinous program is gone. Unfortunately this may even include innocent players who had no choice but to endure this absolute ####ing nightmare.

Is way too late but the AFL and player's association should be getting involved too if they haven't already.

They were not the beat team in 2017, they were one of the best.

Saying that, In a way, had they turned a couple of Narrow losses into wins, they should of got that 8th spot over essendon.

Yeah the crows are 0-5, but each loss magnifies each problem.

Crows need a win. I dont see them beating west coast at the Gabba in their current form. So that makes them 0-6. They have the saints in round 7 in Adelaide. They are only a chance because its in Adelaide.

Last time the crows were 0-6 was in 2010. They ended up getting a win in Round 7 vs a then struggling richmond at the time. Crows ended up 9-13 after 22 games.

The critical question in terms of moving on is whether the players have trust in the clubs administration

The clear and obvious answer is a strong no - the Camp, and the reaction of the AFC management to it, destroyed the cohesiveness of the team, and the trust in the Club.

Until Chapman, Roo and Fagan are gone, this toxic stain remains.

Brett Burton should have any of his club honours at West Lakes removed and banned for life from ever returning to the AFC.

The damage he has done at that club will last for at least a decade.

So should Riccuito; his actions, with Chapman, have destroyed the AFC.

It will take years to recover.

That’s what I’m alluding to. The fact reid is still there, in arguably the most important role in the football department, reflects on how insanely incompetent the people who do the hiring/firing are.

Those people do more than hire/fire, thdy also sit on the list management and football strategy committees. People with no background in elite football have strong influence in day do day footy decisions. Until they go or are removed from influencing list management decisions, we'll stay exactly where we are.
