I think people calling Richmond's demise in 2019 are a little off the mark.

Would start as favourites again, add Lynch and getting Dusty fit they should be back up there again.

Go for the “moral threepeat”

Richmonds season reminds me so much of our 2011. dominated early in the year then faded away a little and got ahead of ourselves and the only team to beat us all year was Geelong 3 times. whilst we didn't beat Richmond 3 times. in retrospect the 2 H/A games this year we probably** should have won had it not been in both games haves 2 on the bench by halftime. and Dimma himself acknowledged in the presser that he felt we were the best team this year to play them.

What's the consensus on Goldsack? Is he keeping a more deserving player from playing a finals series?

Averaging 8 disposals and 29 DT points.

TBH I couldn’t give a shit if he ended the finals series with an average of 6 disposals if he holds Kennedy/ McDonald next week. That said it’s a bit of a conundrum defensively.

He’s opponents have had 16 (8.8) of the 58 SOG we’ve conceded in the finals and he’s the weak link in our D50, IMO. You have to back him in now, but he’s heavily reliant on the work of those up the field!

True, but the whole MCG aura thing is now broken. If teams can beat them at the G they are in trouble.

The successful teams of the last decade (Syd, Haw, Geel) won everywhere. Richmond are a bloody good side but I don't fear them coming to play at Optus Stadium. Better teams would come over and do awful things to us, like Geelong in 2008. Richmond beat Gold Coast (woo?) but couldn't get over WC, GWS, Port or Adelaide and two of those sides didn't even make the finals.

Who cares how many touches Goldsack gets? He's a defender. Seems like a likeable bloke but is having to fight out of his division with Collingwood's backline outs. Wouldn't normally be playing on Josh Kennedy with a full list to pick from.

As Hardwick said, Dusty wouldnt of played if it were a H&A game. Being fair here but Rance does lack a mental toughness that other players have, if you can get on the board early and beat him in a few 1v1's then his day is done and he gives away free kicks.

Our forward line was terrible because Collingwood rattled us. JRoo was the only composed person up forward so we had to use him.

This is one of those games that can damage a few players like the 2015 Granny and Darling. Hope that doesnt happen

Tigers had injuries?

Certainly not me! A match fit Moore would be preferable, but it’s a luxury we unfortunately don’t have so we will back Goldsack in.
