Thanks for the tip. Must admit my standard practice is to bet against my team in big matches so I get some joy either way :tearsofjoy:
haha i've been doing that in finals for years now, as a Geelong supporter it is one of the few payoffs I've had over the past 9 years

our 3rd game at AO in our last 9 outings,im rapt, cant wait, familiar with the ground and the opposition,we will absolutely crush them
they will not know what hit em, never been more sure, knew the Brisbane game was 50/50 because of the 15 game winning streak
being unsustainable n knew wed beat St.Kilda in 3rd gear...Lynch will be unstoppable,Bolton ,Martin,Rioli,Graham & Edwards to run
absolutely riot, Lynch 8 shots & just as many clunks and just as many assists, its possible we're going to be privillaged to witnessing
one of the greatest performances from a Key fwd in modern times
EAT EM ALIVE

Port and Richmond matches have been pretty entertaining at AO the last 3 or 4 times they played. Think Port will win this by 4 points.
It’s almost always an entertaining match against them at AO. It’s hard to rule anything out when Port Adelaide and Richmond play each other, from one team thrashing the other to a thriller. The score worm is all over the place!

We had a lot of outs last year and beat them at AO in a thriller while being in crap form. Contrasting my, we had lots of outs this year and we were lucky to be close to them at AO despite being in stellar form. If there’s one team that I wouldn’t pencil in as a loss or a win, it’s Port. Here’s hoping it falls our way in the PF

Hopefully I will be there, Big crowd could potentially be difference to get Port over the line. Dixon has been quiet over the past month or so, be nice if he ripped the shackles off and kicked a bag. If he does I think port will win comfortably.
ive never seen the crowd get a kick.Dixon not in Lynch's class.Dixon couldnt tie Lynch's shoelaces when it comes to forward craft, that much will be exposed
just wait until friday night

By half time Port will be so far in front Lynch will be showing his true expertise, throwing elbows and knees left and right

Have to ask - why is the draw an option in finals polls? Do we give up and come back next week at some point?
Yeah good point, I have to change that.

Port v Richmond games at AO

1) EF 2014 - Port by 57
2) R8 2015 - Richmond by 33
3) R15 2016 - Port by 38
4) R15 2017 - Richmond by 13
5) R12 2018 - Port by 14
6) R4 2019 - Richmond by 7
7) R11 2020 - Port by 21

Hoping the trend continues
So do I.

(I assume the trend you are talking about is Port Adel winning in even years, and Richmond in odd years. ;))

Lynch wasnt even in the top 40 All-Australian team. Good at throwing the Elbows. Only way he will get a goal this week is if port give up a fast break due to their High defensive press.

Wonder how much research Richmond will go into winning the coin toss and direction to kick?

Belter. Couldn't have ask for a better script for Port playing a preliminary. Playing the defending premiers at home 150th anniversary. Its going to be a hot footy and loaded with niggle and aggression.
About as much as you put into this lame ass joke.

I think this might see us knocked out, tipping Port by 11.

Without Soldo, we don't really have an answer for the Lycett and Ladhams combo. They still don't really know who they will pair with Nank and how they will use them. Last week we got away with one because Ryder missed. We probably need 2 genuine rucks to take on Port which we missed last time.

Secondly, Port Adelaide have a very tough, hard midfield brigade. They will likely smash us in the clearances as most teams do, if they convert a few of them early the crowd and confidence and momentum could see them run away with it. We simply must start well as we won't claw back a margin if we fall too far back.

In our favour, and it's the only thing I'm holding on to is that I think the relative net gain from our ins compared to last time is greater than Port's for this game. From memory Prestia, Edwards, Houli, Nankervis, Cotchin, Astbury and I think one or two others didn't play. I know Port will get some players back too, but I think ours slightly outweigh theirs. Of course we miss Soldo now so that unfortunately goes against us.

Last time we led at 3 quarter time by a point, but lost by 21 by the end of the game. Is the better 22 we take over compared to our side last time enough to turn that margin around? Not sure given how well they are going, Port are flying.

This more than the tiges lions game may be the changing of the guard. I was super impressed with Port's last outing, not the ball movement or skills but the INTENSITY. I was watching thinking WOW. Finals footy.

Be a mad cow to write off tigers, they have adapted to challenges better than anyone last 4 years, and as mentioned in a previous post, they are the LEARNING CLUB par excellence, they readup on why a team beats them, or thrashes them, and then they often turn the tables the next time.

I don't think tiges are playing that well, but they often play that way, they neutralise and demoralise oppo more than destroy them, and this gives the impression they are not playing that well. Q4 against saints was pretty damn good.

I have to pick Port, said intensity and sheer will power will carry the day at home. But my confidence is not so high as to think, again, that the tiges won't be ready.

No idea which way this one will go.

Will the week off hurt of help Port or does the extra game help guys like Prestia and Edwards get some touch? Will the finals experience help tigers?

We got smashed in the middle last time but that was without Prestia, Edwards, Cotchin and Nankervis. Who will be our 2nd ruck? Balta hasn't been at the same level since Astbury came back in and looked far better late last week as 2nd ruck and further up the ground. Astbury is a decent match up for Dixon strength wise so he'll probably get first crack. Could be an issue is Charlie get's on his bike though as Astbury is slooow.

Going to be close either way.

Genuine 50/50 game. I'm not confident about the Tiges at the moment - they're not in top form and seem fumbly at critical times which will be taken advantage of by good pressure sides like Port and Lions.

I'm hoping the fumbling, slipping etc is just due to the dew in QLD and they handle the conditions better in Adelaide, if so the Tigers could get up

Port by 2 goals
