Media are going all in with tactics on how to beat us,like last week.

On The Couch with 7 mins of tactical talk on how we position, how we structure, how to stop certain players.

lol.

Nothing on how Richmond can stop Port.

I suppose it comes with the territory of being the best team of the last 4 years.

Camera will point to Lynch every two minutes I reckon finding any speck to get him suspended.
Yeah, noticing that everywhere - nothing about Port Adelaide match winners (eg Robbie Gray, Charlie Dixon), or about negating Port Adelaide strengths (strong contested ball / stoppage team, lock opposition inside own 50mtr)

You are right, this week is all about how Port Adelaide can beat Richmond, not about how Richmond can beat Port Adelaide.

I guess it comes with the territory of being the team to beat over the past three years.

They didn't really say anything about Port at all on the couch apart from saying we shouldn't deviate from our game plane.

Tigers will have to contend with dirty snipers from port this Friday no doubt, if it’s not Ebert, it’s powell-pepper or Dixon. Just need to be ready for their dirty hits.

Here's hoping for a hard but fair battle then!
I guess when Port Adelaide players do this, they get suspended based on how high contact is intended to be judged.
There are some exceptions however that aren't ......

There will almost certainly be a free kick at the centre bounce. Flip a coin who gets it, but there'll be one.
I know people will say it doesn't matter, but we shouldn't underestimate early momentum in this game and the first few goals. I've seen what momentum can do countless times with big home crowds behind them.

Port Adelaide need it to engage the home crowd, build confidence against a known finals commodity, and could run away with it.
Richmond need it to get the buzz going against a hostile crowd, possibly quieten them a little, and feel like we are in it.

The first quarter is key for the away team in hostile environments, if we fall a few goals behind we won't get it back. Port Adelaide at home are probably more likely to come back if they trail.

Your underselling this Richmond team, won’t be worried if we fall a few goals behind early as we’ve shown we can come back. Port kicked the first 4 goals of our last game and we came back to lead at 3/4 time. This Richmond team isn’t out of any game until they are.

If Richmond lose Vince McMahon has offered Trent Cotchin a big deal and thinks he could be WWE champion with the moves he displays.

Vlaustin and Grimes are both proficient at selling even the slightest contact, so they will be on Vince's radar as well.

I got another example for you

Dog act, and as usual there was radio silence from the media and oppo fans

Only counts as a shit act if its a richmond player

I hope Port win, good for Adelaide, good for football.

I am so over the same group of teams playing off every year.

I know he didn't get suspended for it. Do you want players suspended in finals for things that would be let go in H&A?
As far as I can see, it's the letting go of things for finals that's my original point, as a response to pointed comments about PA players, for incidents they WERE suspended for.

And that's enough of that for me. Good luck Friday.

It’s very important in my opinion. We need to be the first team to pile on a few goals in a row to silence the crowd a bit. Scoreboard pressure is the best way to rattle a home side interstate IMO, so that’s what we need to do. Geelong failed to do that early and left the door wide open for Port Adelaide to settle into the game.

Tipping the Power to be too good for the Tigers on the night, just seem the more focused and dangerous team at the moment, but looking forward to an epic. Best of luck to both teams

do you know the names Lockett and Matthews? To name just a few of the greatest.
they make Lynch look like a nun. Shall l go on?stop crying like a baby.
Great players indeed, and both struggled to hold the aggro in at times.
They'd also make Lynch #1 target for his cheap shots.

Enjoy the game, the best team will win, no excuses.

Reckon this one could come down to who kicks the highest score.
Richmond have the finals experience but I believe the Port Boys will be hungry, just hoping that sausage rolls are on the menu.
If Charlie Dixon can't provide Port with sausage rolls, he needs to at least impact the contest as he's done all year and share some crumbs with our ground ball score converters in the likes of Gray, Butters, Rozee, Motlop. If we make enough crumbs, we should be able to convert in to a sausage roll.
For the Tigers (Richmond), Shai Bolton is looking dangerous with his forward 50 penetrative burst thrusts and his influence will need to be curbed. I'd be looking at a DBJ type, who can work off his man and counter attack himself with his rebounding defensive clearance hit-up link passes to the outer-side, putting it to the advantage of your Duursma's and your Amon types.
Lynch and Riewoldt are going to be dangerous with our undersized defence, so team play mechanism defending will be in order from Ports perspective. Jonas can provide the defensive smash fists over the top, but he's going to need some chop outs from the Clureys and the Mckenzies and Hamish Hammer Hartlett.
Dustin 'Dusty' Martin is going to have a big role to play, expect him to get the negating match up on Boak or Wines and will need to be at the top of his game if he's to curb their influence. Meanwhile, to negate Dustys influence, I'd be playing an Ollie Wines or a Travis Boak on him, who can respectively use their strength and endurance to work off him and make him earn it.

Too tight to call this one, we will have to wait and see how it pans out. I'm going to stick with my earlier prediction though and say whoever kicks the higher score will put themselves in the best position to win the game.
