When Larkey did get a free for holding, he stopped and inadvertantly tunnelled Weitering. Eleni didn't see the officiating ump signal the free to Larkey holding and she then somehow paid a 50 against Larkey, then another and suddenly Weitering was having a shot at goal. Commentators said nothing...absolutely farcical umpiring. She hardly got a decision correct all night...both ways.
This just proves you have no idea what you're watching...

She called it as it is meant to be called. They were supposed to be cracking down on players taking too long to get rid of it in the tackle.
Problem is, every other umpire cares more about their image, not the game
If those 3 are called holding the ball every match, we are going to have 200 free kicks every single game. Being turned 360 degrees is way too long, but those calls last night were laughable....time allowed for disposal could be measured in microseconds with the tackled players hardly impeded. There is no way she should be umpiring again

Watch it again. Agreed, it was a crap look from Larkey, but the ump in the background was signalling a free to him and he stopped (dunno why Larkey goes for marks anyway...he hasn't clunked one for weeks). I actually really enjoyed watching Carlton last night, it's just that the umpiring was completely baffling for both sides.

Maybe you should watch it again. Here...
He actually had a chance to stop, but then focuses his eyes on Young, turns his shoulder and accelerates into him. There was no accidental tunnel there. That's as deliberate as they come.

Yeah...fair enough. I was probably still a bit flustered as to how we went from Larkey getting a free to Carlton have a shot for goal in the space of 20 seconds. Happy to stand corrected.
