Pies favorites, you'd reckon. If the Giants put in a blitz like they did against port, and are not done early, the Pies still have the capacity to run over the top at the end. Which is not to say the Giants can't win.
I don't think Daicos will do much more than a cameo or if the heat goes out of the match, rack up some party-time. Not because I think he's less than a A grader, but 6 week break means he might struggle to find the grove under the pressure if it's close.
Looking forward to a classic....

Meh we are just enjoying our finals run.
It’s called fun.
Reminds me of Richmond in the 2017 finals.

They had 100% belief that they would win every game. You could see they were enjoying themselves.

Would love to see Giants go all the way, and I think they can.

Hard to disagree with any of that.

One point I’ll add is that Taylor Adams is made for finals footy, and that extra contested bull missing will hurt us a little bit, particularly against a tough midfield like the orange team. If Mitchell can have a great game, it won’t matter, but if he struggles, we might be in a little bit of trouble.

The other thing you haven’t mentioned is the GWS tall defenders and their intercepting abilities. If we can be smart with our i50s, it’ll go a very long way in Collingwood winning, but if we opt to bomb it in long, it’ll be a long day for the Magpies on the rebound.
Good point that last paragraph, I didn't mention our back 6 either, they're not too shabby.

I guess my post was about the game styles, and I think both d50's will be under pressure - we'll see real estate and numbers forward of the ball like we did in the Giants semi and the QF.

True although the bloke who won GWS that match no longer plays for them - Jeremy Cameron. In a very wet low scoring game (both teams scored 50 odd points) he kicked about 3 freakish arsey goals from the boundary and outside 50. Greene will need to replicate Cameron's heroics.
This, exactly.

Big relief going into a big final and not having to worry about Jeremy Cameron. He's destroyed us for 8 years...

Yes but as we have seen just this year, Cameron doesn't need to be in the field of play to kick goals against us.
Would not surprise me to see him bob up and kick one from the 10th row on Friday , wearing a GWS scarf.

Who could forget Chris Scott going full muppet: "I actually didn't see it. People that know the game well say that it wasn't outside the boundary," Scott said.

I think the pies create enough pressure around the ball that GWS's entries won't be as good as they were against Port (and need to be against pies defence) where they got on the outside easy. They ran out of legs against Port in the last, and will do so again against the Pies, though probably a bit earlier.

I think it'll blow-out from around 3/4 time but Pies will be ahead by around 15-20 leading up to that.

Can't imagine how loud that first Pies goal will be, 90k plus, vast vast vast majority Collingwood supporters. Giants really need a fast start, if it's close late, think the Pies get up comfortably.

Collingwood by 17 points, Elliot and Greene with 3 each.

I was leaning gws earlier in the week, coming round to it being Collingwood. Both play a pretty similar style when they are up and about but pies probably have a little bit more depth. They wouldn't want to rely solely on daicos coming back and winning the game for them though.
