The game swung in Ports favour when he took out Ridley we had trouble stoping Dixon and Finlayson. Rioli is lucky he's not playing becuase I reckon a few our guys haven't forgot what he did

Calling us piss weak? Your side won by 5 points if Peter Wright was playing we probably win

Rioli accidently caught Ridley with a trailing arm - that is all. Ridley must have a glass jaw.

Lions lost to Hawks
Freo lost to Rich
Geelong lost to Port
Gold Coast lost to Carlton
Melbourne lost to Geelong
Essendon lost to Freo
Hawks lost to Gold Coast
Eagles lost to Sydney
Richmond lost to Brisbane

Collingwood and St Kilda both won after the bye but they played teams who were also coming off the bye.
Realistically the only losses which prob didn't go to script were The lions vs hawks and possibly the Freo vs Rich.
wouldn't read too much into this stat.

Both sides went down a key defender in that game - about the same time.

32 scoring shots to 22…. Port should have won by a lot more.

But yer, Rioli is lucky he isn’t playing today and 2m Pete would have made all the difference. (Port also didn’t play a ruckman - Essendon dominate the taps, but clearance were equal…. Just saying)

Something about swings and round-a-bouts.

hope it's nothing too serious, but you know, if it's not...

What is a squib in Australian slang?

(n) a person who decides for spurious or selfish reasons not to honor an undertaking (to take part). (v) to withdraw from an undertaking: "That person is a squib". "That person 'squibbed it'".
We understand his mother passed away.

Port's strength (putting on pressure) is Essendon's weakness (kicking under pressure) and Port should win the midfield so I think a lot will have to go wrong for Essendon to win. It could happen no doubt about it but I think Port should win.
