Pendles showing his age for a rare time here. Obviously it's easier to play better in wins than loses, but he has been caught HTB once (that I saw), and flopped around a fair bit looking for soft holding or high free kicks. Looks like the signs of age catching up with him a bit. Still a champion player, but the signs of decline are there.
He's slower, we know that. But his disposal has been shiite tonight.

Pies have Saints next week. I think that could be an OUCH.

And then, Brizzy.

Geewizz.

Someone mocked me for saying they would go 0-5 a week ago. It is looking incredibly likely.

Brisbane should beat them. Saints I would have as favourites too. If last game against Hawks is anything to go by, they will lose that too.

Next week will be the telling sign.

Josh Daicos effort has been terrible the amount times he has jogged after Swans players has been alarming.
Maybe a bit too much of his own bath water

Just adding extra joy for the Blue Baggers!

I don’t disagree. I just think that the reason it is like this is because of the history of the sport (E.g. VFL turning into AFL).

Fixing the commentary would be a huge issue unless people are found who have no team support or allegiance. Only issue with that is that a incredibly small minority of AFL fans would fit that criteria.
I think it's more basic than just removing people with past affiliations: It's just enforcing professionalism to look past them. Richie Benaud used to captain Australia yet was roundly regarded as the most impartial commentator to grace the game.

Using AFL examples the best have been those who may have past affiliations but are professional enough to put their current job and the quality of their performance above their unconscious bias (well, that's being generous with the current crop as it's overtly a conscious bias): Dennis Commetti, Drew Morphett, Tim Lane, Steve Quartermaine, Anthony Hudson (most of those in their 00s and earlier form). It's doable, it just requires some really, really basic discipline.

Unless of course it's a business directive to be like this. That of course is another, more egregious issue/debate

It was me. Still think Pies won’t be 0-5 and Carlton won’t be 5-0.

If I’m wrong, tag me and I’ll concede that you were spot on mate.
