Unfortunately I didn’t hear any of that to know how bad it was
I didn't actually think he was bad at all. He spoke more at length about what Richmond but that's expected given he knows more about them and they were playing better. It didn't seem to me like he was cheerleading.

As an aside, the type of commentry when Richmond had the upper hand is what I think a lot of people want in their commentry rather than barracking for a comeback. There was a good discussion about the Richmond set-up to create more attacking channels and Vlaustin being the plus 1 and the advantages and disadvantages of manning him up and sacrificing elswhere. I forget who said what, but this was probably the result of having Riewoldt in the box and knowing what was going on in the minds of the coaches and players. It was also preferable to the whole commentary box trying to make an event out of the game.

Really proud of the kids today
Campbell , Dow , Sonsie , Banks , Brown , MRj , Mansell , Ross most played less than 10 games

rebuilding and learning year the next 2-3 years with more kids to come hopefully before the Tassie team enters the comp

Great game by the cubs led superbly by Vlaustin down back who was just a general. So happy to see yze get his first win and you can just see the players love him already. Also great to finally win a close one and see elite pressure that we haven’t seen in a few years.
Umpiring was horrible both ways and that last free to Vlaustin was a shocker no doubt but we often get crucified so we’ll take it.
Swans had an off day but they are too good of a team to worry too much and they also have a few to come back in.
Only disappointing part of the day was big Tom getting injured, so vital for us. Hopefully it’s not a 2 month hammy.

Ahh, we were 0-3, sh!tload of injuries, playing the most inform team in the comp, most fans thinking we have no chance and playing on Easter Sunday 4pm where alot of families go away, geez i wonder why? Don't worry about our crowds, worry about your p!ssant team, no more honey moon period for Sammy and the poos & wees.

But all we hear is how richmond fans always turn up...
Apart from when it's at Marvel, or in a timeslot they don't often get fixtured in. Or when Sagittarius in retrograde.

You simply were just not quite classy enough in the first three rounds but the effort was worthy of a win so probably got your just desserts with the result today
Oh I reckon we were plenty classy enough against the Blues.

3 players out (2 being KPD against McKay and Curnow)/2 rotations down for the entire second half cooked us that night. Think most would agree if we had a full compliment we'd have got them. But we didn't, so we didn't.

I think it's fair to say that the evidence of this game (and last week) shows that the Sydney Swans are prone to shirking at the contest. They were taken up to last week and it finally cost them today (as anyone could see coming) and it'll be even more obvious against sides that are contending.
Lol Swans are fine in the contest, they just met a desperate side today.

They have Parker, Mills and Adams to add back in. There's a difference between being beaten in the contest and shirking the contest.
And I'll take Parker over Shiel every day of the week and twice on Sundays in that regard.

Swans are highly suspect. Thought they'd have no issues getting the job done against a team that will finish anywhere 12th-16th but they don't look anywhere near the class of GWS. Giants appear to be battle hardened after years of getting so close.

Swans have a soft underbelly.
Heeney appears to have finally turned the corner to become the player many expected.

Bolton's a freak. Has all the tools to become one of the best players in the game.

We are still a young developing side
Need to remember we lost Rampe, Parker and Mills are out.
Leaders are needed in tight games

Wow,Swans fans humble in defeat.
I'm a half eyed Tiger.
Very gracious of you.
And probably a perfect loss to keep your team on it's toes.
I'm elated our young cubs had a crack from the first siren to the last.
Umpiring ,much better.
A few non calls for both sides.
I go hard but barracking for my team.
I think Adem Yze is going to be a great coach for us.
Rapt for him to get his debut win as senior coach.

Yep, blind freddy could see our mob were lazy and slow until the last qtr.

The 3rd qtr especially. It may have been the Tigs that made us look that way, or the weather, or the time slot - but regardless, you have to turn up for 4 qtrs and we didn’t.

My concern is the lack of a plan B, when we’re under pressure to kick the ball.

Lots to agree with in this post, but got to admit that umpiring interpretations are a lottery week to week.

I think that your tall forwards didn't have the best game. When you guys were transitioning the ball, you guys didn't work up the ground to give a contest on the wings.

When the ball movement was perfect, your talls looked great but once it started to dry up they started to get beaten by our inexperienced tall Backs (Miller and Young)

We played pretty good... 4 quarter effort, all our best players that were out there played very good Bolton, Vlastuin, D. Rioli, Taranto & Baker & our kids stood up.

Our pressure & run was good across the game, Swans were probably a lil bit off.
But it's a great win without Hopper, Martin, Grimes, Prestia.

I would not be writing the Swans off on that performance they were still in it without playing their best footy on the road.

Well, at least those two have an upside. Not sure if Lloyd will see the season out however - just far too slow.
