I’d argue Bulldogs underachieved this year and should’ve been top 4.
Bevo should be under fire for consistently not getting this list to perform. It’s horrid.

Apart from 2021 GF and a flukey 2016, been pretty yo yo in between
What surprises me most is his never had them finish in the top 4, but made 2 GFs which is outrageous!

Agreed they should have been top 4 but they are too streaky. They can look a million bucks but they finished 6th.

One poor team had to face the Hawks and it was them. Hawthorn would waste almost any remaining team atm except maybe GWS and Brisbane.

Had the Dogs played any other team in the 8 they probably win or go much closer than tonight.

Stood on all their shoulders tonight.

4.1 from a small forward should be 10 coach votes.

Problem is Meek destroyed English and Newk was just red hot.

He was very good. I thought Ginnivan had a bigger impact even though his scoreboard contribution was less, he set up a number of scoring opportunities. Dear had a fantastic game too.

Can't really think of a poor hawthorn player tonight, maybe Chol was a bit poor, other than that was a very good contribution across the board.

You don't lose a game by 84 points just because of 2 players, and Geelong were missing players, too.

Yes you can lose by that much as it throws out team cohesion.

If two of Geelongs small forwards did not play but Hawkins and Stewart did then I think the result would have been different.

Carlton played Geelong twice and I just dont rate them at all.

Chol tried hard but it just wasn't his day.

Could have had a few screamers and a goal.

Well done Hawks, great performance and way too strong, didn’t give them any space to breathe and wasn’t a contest after half time. Exceptional effort
Thanks Phat, was very nervous tonight. Will be even more nervous if we get stuck with you guys in a few weeks

if you think Geelong are a 14 goal better team than Port in Adelaide then what can one say - fairytales comes to mind and some other stuff.

Geelong will not win the Prelim - bookmark it.
well we proved last night that we are

You are new on here so i'll let it slide but in future be very careful when predicting Geelong's downfall it will come around and bite you 100% of the time and posters don't forget either. expect a pill on with the bookmark remark in 2 weeks time if your prediction doesn't happen.

Everyone saying it was weird to take a small forward in the top 10 just needs to look at Carlton post Betts

Really hard role to fill with a specialist
It's a good point.

Also, its good to see some exciting small forwards. Like the days you had your Betts, Milne types playing. Annoying AFL recruiters often have a hate boner for short people regardless of skill.

Bookmark is there and threatening is pretty stupid

I think he might have hurt himself coming down from one early, he looked a bit out of sorts and was interesting to see Mitchel go to him after the game and give him some words of encouragement.

I wonder how many neutrals went along without any other footy on in Melbourne this weekend?

Would have been close to 55-60k Hawthorn supporters there and I'm being conservative.

Was also probably the most hyped EF in recent history. Arguably the two best form sides in the comp which has never happened.

Only game in Melbourne.

Everything lined up together to create a massive crowd.

Was having a mare before that but also copped a cut above the eye.

He will move on pretty quickly. Just had a mare.

Essendon must really hate you Hawks!

Good coaching, Chol strikes me as someone who'll benefit from encouragement as opposed to a spray.
