Umps squared up the ledger in this last 5 minutes, as usual.
10 minutes to go it was 27 - 16 Hawthorn's way.

Ended up 28 - 24. A third of Carltons free kicks came in the last 10 minutes.

Before any Hawkies melt down I'm not commenting on overall umpire quality because I didn't pay enough attention, but statistically that's unreal.

The new bit needed fertilizer on it and it's made it slippery.
It's not just slippery - it's completely detatching from the soil.
So manly layers slipped over because the turf completely gave way under their feet.

Saad took a huge stack on the back pocket near the end there when the turf completely broke away. Grabbed his hammy straight after

Talking about umpiring is laughable again.

High pressure game causes more paid. Especially when it was wet.

220+ pressure rating for Hawthorn over the game is insane.

Handled it better and the class of the two teams was the difference, Hawthorn cut Carlton to pieces on the outside and forced hack kicks forward even with the inside edge of Carlton.

Walsh and Cripps delivered a couple of great punchlines but Haynes once again the king of comedy. Well done bluesers. Love your work.

If you talk about umpiring then you identify yourself immediately as an idiot, moron or child.

They absolutely know the free kick count and want to 'square' it up when the game's mostly over. Happens all the time.

That was far too easy, Carlton just don't have the energy to compete.
Defensive structure is up the creek. Was a strong point a couple years ago. Now we constantly get caught out of position on the turnover, so we're chasing tail way too much, which tires the players.
IMO we're playing too many guys out of position and making bad calls on team selection and sub.
Don't know who's responsible for all that, but it's gone on for far too long.
