Amazing how many supporters of clubs that have done EXACTLY the same thing come out and question another clubs integrity.

You don't know a lot about the Hawthorn Footy Club if that is your inference - most of our high draft picks have been from trades and in years we have been totally uncompetitive, we have still been very competitive at the end of the season including one when we won our last 4 games in a row.

Have another crack - or better still - address the issue.

What is the issue mate? Is it the AFL's PP system? Or is it the fact that we got the PP last year? If it is the latter, please explain to me where we broke any rules!

So based on that why isnt this whole thread about the AFL, and their ridiculous PP system? I will tell you why, it is because every little sniper out there is still pissed off that Judd chose to come to Carlton, within the salry cap constraints, and within the rules of the AFL. These sorts of threads are just petty, and in the main exteremely misinformed. Most non Carlton supporters are just pissed off that Carlton have finally turned the corner, not enough to play finals this year, but it would be a very brave, and probably foolish man (or woman) that thinks we wont play finals over the next 2-3 years. And once there, well, we dont just play finals do we? We actually win flags!!!

No one would have minded if Carlton "turned the corner" due to their own hard work, but i think its fair to say people are peeved that they've used the system to get some quality into their squad (in fact its clear the only way they can get anyone decent in their ranks is by having them gifted) ie early draft picks, early PSD pick to get Stevens, and a priority pick.

Theres certainly no jealousy there, just disdain really.

How does the AFL determine if a side is being selected based on future development or tanking?

How does the AFL differentiate between coaching stupidity and tanking?

The fact is he is going to have to back up his allegations - he knew that when he granted the interview - so I would be a lot more concerned about the outcome to that rather than grasping at straws about his motivation.

The when & why is very important because, if he was aware of deliberate tanking, why didn't he try to prevent it? Why the sudden attack of conscience? I would be interested to know how much Channel 9 paid Libba for his appearance tonight. Assuming he would be getting less than half the income at Sunbury, that he was on at Carlton, there is certainly some incentive to grab the dollars. His AFL coaching career was already over, so he had nothing to lose.

You're right though, if the AFL investigate this matter, he is going to have to put up or shut up. I wonder if he would do things differently if he had his time over again.

FWIW, if I was the Sunbury FC, I would be having 2nd thoughts about having Libba at the club. His hatchet jobs on both the Bulldogs & Carlton has demonstrated he has no loyalty & will dump on anyone that doesn't let him have his way.

WTF does an injunction bought about by a doctor trying to retrieve his confidential notes have to do with blatant cheating that has now has supporting evidence from one of the perpertrators?

Rubbish mate, the fact is that we have always been hated, similar to Port in the SANFL, and for the same reasons...a history of success and of arrogance.

The club since 2002 hasnt broken any rules. Yes we did get ourselves in the shyte, but the fact is that we were going to be down the bottom for a lot longer yet unless we bottomed out. Forget 2002 and 2003, we had no picks to get some decent talent in to replace our aging stars, 2004, we did ourselves an injustice by winning 10 games, again our thinking at MC level was outdated, and that reasonable season probably put us back a couple of years. The last 2 draft have really been the only years that we have started stock piling some decent talent, and we have truly had to be horrible to get them. My question to all the supporters on BF is, are Carlton truly crap, therefore deserving of those PP's, or did we totally tank, and in which case perhaps there were some games of last year we should have won. You cant have it both ways guys, but when most of you are posting about CFC, it appears that most of you reserve that right!
