Scott said Holmes 98% and could of done it, but went with the fit players

Would there be many out there today 100% fit?

CS just confirmed MOC in, Parfitt sub.

So we've gone with the third best option.
First mistake (IMO) the MC have made, obviously hope O'Connor proves me wrong and plays a blinder, but think he's the one weak link in the team, much prefer Parfitt or Menegola out there myself.

Still quietly confident, but this has put a slight dent in that confidence.

What do people think are the chances of Reid getting injured during the game and having to be subbed off?

All of last week the consensus was that he would be very unlikely to play and his scans showed an actual strain (not just “awareness” or anything like Holmes’ neural issue), so seems like a big risk to play him in a GF.

Doubt they would play him if he wasn't right.

He won't play all game unless he's having a blinder imo. Might have already told him that he will be subbed off at half time who knows. Obviously is there's another injury that throws all that out the window

I guess the thinking behind the decision is that O'Connor has had much more recent game time

Parfitt's last match was 36 days ago

While for Menegola he hasn't played for 43 days

Maybe it was a greater risk to bring in a player with no football for a month, compared with a slight shuffling of the decks with bringing in O'Connor

I think the game could be won on goal kicking accuracy. Both teams have lost games this year in which they had way more scoring shots than the opponent - one example being Cats vs Swans where we kicked 10.17 to Sydney’s 17.5

I’ve said for years now that improving players’ goal kicking is one of the most impactful ways of increasing any team’s winning percentage in any given season

Completely agree with you. The game has lost sight of it somewhat.

McInerney was also under a cloud with foot soreness its a huge risk imo...

I think I joined big footy not long after the 2011 premiership. I’ve always been more of a lurking than a contributor but I feel like I know a lot of you and share your passion for the cats. It’s been a 11 year journey with you all and I hope today is the culmination of that journey. Good luck to everyone. Let’s hope our mighty cats bring home the cup for the 10th time! Go cats!
